  2. In my mind, this is one of the worse teams that I have seen in 40 years. I don't think that individually the players are worse than some I have seen, but there is zero unity. They look bereft of team spirit (something we had in abundance under Clarke and Adams) and we need to almost build them up again from the ground
    Totally agree
  3. Be careful what you wish for; no guarantee that we would be able to assemble a squad that's any better than what we have. We are assessing our players based on how they have performed in L1, which is a big step up from L2. Others that you have failed to mention will do us a job in L2; add a sprinkling of decent signings and we may have enough to come straight back up. I am confident that DM will not allow another failed transfer window to happen.
Yh of course and I hope so as we all do. Just fed up of seeing this lot week in week out now End of the day it's not their fault if collectively they ain't good enough for league 1.

  4. I wasn’t going to be then I still have tickets from the cancelled Peterborough game which I will have to go to and my nephew wants to see the Northampton one over Easter.
Fair play. I just can't handle everyone having the time of their lives in the stadium apart from Vale supporters anymore, my gallows humour has well and truely gone .
That goes for home aswell, but I'll carry on slogging my way thru that till the end of the season. Seems like the longest season ever atm
  5. All of them can go apart from Conner, Ben,Chissy possibly ojo and maybe the Yak. I'd personally keep Uche, not that he will stay if he has any chance of going. Obviously keep all the acadamy lads. No doubt they will be sold for 15 to 50k ASAP

  6. Could not agree more what was that all about ?

I was looking forward to belting out the Wonder of You and another moan if they want to build the atmosphere read out the away team quickly and then do the Vale team.

This handshaking baloney before the game needs sacking off, that kills the atmosphere saying that the Vale do a great job of buggering the atmosphere up without any help from anyone.

Sent from my SM-A217F using onevalefan mobile app

Our Captain has absolutely made sure to kill any atmosphere at the beginning of our last two home games all by himself

  7. Genuinely can’t believe anyone keeps anyone from this squad except garrity and Smith. Can’t wait see the back of the rest of them.

Smith arguably only stays cause he has credit in the bank. He’s had an absolutely horrific season.

I'm afraid Smith can do one aswell. No credits left in the bank for me after today, regardless of what league we are in.

  8.  The other week I started the complex task of looking at where we were in the form tables when you included the 3 wins in 18 weeks we 'achieved' last season, 02/01/2023 onwards to today. And comparing it all the way down to the regional Isthmian divisions, the ones were Kidsgrove and Shepshed Dynamo play in. 388 clubs in total. I gave up as it was too depressing.
As it stands since September though, we're joint 142nd/144 in the EFL and 3 conference divisions. Dover only need to pick up a point to send us 143rd
Blimey well that's one positive I suppose, we are actually good at something, being absolutely terrible
Its complete insanity, completely devoid of any sort of logic or anything. Just insanity
  9. Joint 6th worst side in the top 3 leagues of world football since September now. Odds on joint 3rd by the end of the season?
tm_logo.png WWW.TRANSFERMARKT.CO.UK Don't win on Tuesday and we will have won 3 in 6 full months and won't have won a Tuesday night league game for over 2 years

Ffs 6th in the WORLD. The whole world for being <ovf censored>. Doha please print all your research off and send it in to Vale park. It's absolutely diabolical. Maybe it will jolt them off the perch. Harsh reality and all that.

  10. <ovf censored>. We are down no question. So fed up with it all. Sick and tired of seeing away supporters having a grand old time of it at our expense.
Just want the season to end now as its all pointless and has been horrific, as has been the last 18 months . We aren't going to win a game again this season.
Fans come out in relatively large numbers for one last try to get them going on the pitch and we get that.
    Appalling.
Made up for Bayleee. Been thrown to the wolves this season in diabolic circumstances and managed his first senior goal today
Good lad and credit to him.

  11. I dont have much to add that Bede and Mellor haven't already said however I would like to say something about my own experience of Monday and the few days since.
I am as guilty as anybody of bashing out my opinion on the Internet without any regard for the people I am talking about.  Many people give the impression that they would love to have the opportunity to "put the owners right" on a few things.
It was not pleasant seeing first hand just how much the situation is affecting Carol.  I think we all forget sometimes that the people we lambast are just that, people.  We often think its OK to scream all sorts of things into the Internet but it really isn't.
I have had a very strange week, where I have seen people take a statement and add their own conotations to it and talk about them like they are fact.  I have seen the absolute worst of people on all SM platforms, screaming all sorts of made up theories into the ether.
I understand the clamour for detail and there was alot of debate behind the scenes over what, if anything we should say further.  We have been under alot of pressure to get this right.
One part of the official joint statement that seemed to attract alot of critism was the part about urging fans to put aside frustration to help give the players and management a boost.  I will hold my hands up and say that I wrote that part and not the club.  It was never meant to insinuate that fans hadn't been supportive and was only intended as it was written.  It was simply asking people to but it on the back burner to deal with later whilst we try to slavage league one status.  I felt that there was pertinence in acknowledging we are in a relegation battle and also in acknowledging there is fan frustration.  I got that wrong, so please don't bash the club for my misjudgement.
Some of the critism we faced was too much.
As I have said, I have been massively guilty of this myself and after this week, I must be better in future because I now know first hand that things we say on the Internet do effect people personally.
Meeting Carol under these circumstances has reassured me that the whole family are absolutely the right people to look after the best interests of the club.  I have not changed my mind about David Flitcroft, I am still of the opinion that he cannot come back from this.
I wanted to just calrify and apologise for my part in the statement and also to appeal to people to think a bit more before they sit at a keyboard.
I can't see how we stay up but one thing I will say from Monday is that Carol and Paddy have an absolute belief in Darren Moore, so until the fat lady sings, I'll be crossing my fingers that we are still a league one side next season.
I would say, let's get behind them on Saturday and see if we can't get 3 points to put us back in the race...  but perhaps not.

    Nice one Tony UTV
