  1. Nobody doubts the good you’ve done.
The whole point is that the on field state of affairs is an absolute shambles with the worst squad I’ve seen in years, under a 4th manager in less than 4 years, staring down the barrel of league 2. That’s pretty much what the average fan cares about. Not the other stuff.
They want to turn up for two hours and have a team to be proud of. We’ve got far from that.
And has for you sacking the man the fans blamed…….. by that I take it you still don’t think he was to blame? And even if you do it was at least one transfer window too late.
To let him go through January and THEN sack Crosby, who should have been long gone before Christmas, and then let Flitcroft carry on until “fans blamed him” well, it was all a bit of a calamity.
And I hope the management team works. I really do. And I really hope there is some get out clause in his contract because a 5 and a half year deal is huge. Especially with performances and results. But, like I’ve said before, this is not his squad. It’s the squad that Dave built. The worst footballing squad in many a year. That Dave made.
But good old Dave. Look at all the things he did right yeah? Again. Fans only really care about three points and 100% effort week in week out.
    It's not actually her Spunky

  2. Livid at that, more livid than any of the many screw ups this season.
2-0 up, playing well, against a side with nothing to play for and us everything on the line and we come out second half like that? It was a disgrace. How do you be so different one half to the next, first half we did everything right, got stuck in, pumped the crowd up, energy was high, moved the ball well, got in their faces and took chances.
Second half we stood off from minute one, got deeper, lacked energy and looked dead on our feet. Weir for Uche was bizarre, if Uche is tired fair enough but surely push Garrity or play Massey if Loft is injured?
That said even if you sit back as we did you to concede 4 in 35 minutes was criminal.
We've thrown away L1 status likely now and I am hard pressed to be sad about it because the club and the players 100% deserve it, we are getting what we as a club deserve, its only the fans who suffer as per usual and dont deserve it.
    Its embarrassing it really is.

This is where I'm at. Saturday was a complete farce, beyond any logic or reasoning and just embarrassing.
It was in our hands and they fkd it. Not just slightly or unluckily, monumentally you couldn't make it up and none of Saturday makes sense. Just another ridiculous display in a ridiculous season

  3. She's made herself look a bit daft really. Question is will Carol crack on, learn from mistakes and realities or hide in the shadows looking for a way out?
Considering Vale were supposedly moving into a 'drama' free period of boredom and stability, Carol is at the centre of all things 'Drama'
Big decisions and leadership is required and an acceptance that big mistakes have been made for Vale to move away from this current ridiculous situation. A situation which has shown those at the top to be, unfortunately, very niave and pretty arrogant.
Also you can't be on a pedestal and engage with fans, media etc etc constantly when all is good and then pretty much retreat and withdraw when things go wrong. It's ethier one or the other, but it has to be relatively constant or imo it comes across as pretty disrespectful and arrogant to the average supporter, even if she is hurting aswell.
Maybe the whole 'too familiar, Vale family' thing is a major part of the problems which has caused the fan base to split during this season which has just added more pressure and fueled the fire for the whole situation.
    Its a mess

  4. It’s not over yet mate. Must win on Tuesday
Yh I no mate. I've chilled out a bit now and will drag myself down there Tues night, but only for our supporters(solidarity and all that) and for the father in law who can barely see now. He's been going since he was 4 and is 75 now. Misses kicked me up the arse saying you don't have to support Vale, support Liverpool or someone ffs as if don't know who's more mental, me or her
    • Haha 3
  5. What an absolute clusterfuk of a day, season, 18 months. Just lumbers along from drama to drama with no let up or positivity on the horizon
Yeah mathematically we still aren't down and I suppose it's only league 2 looming, but boy oh boy it's been hard work for us. Nothing to cheer about just disappointment on disappointment with extreme negative emotion constantly thrown in for good measure, just to keep us on our toes and bickering amongst each other thru sheer frustration and disillusionment.
No idea where we go from this mess, with what seems to be no, or very limited money . No idea at all.
    Why can't it be better?

  6. Absolute farce. Tactically inept 2nd half after bossing the first half.
Deserve to go down, sick and tired of it. Embarrassing and cringe worthy 2nd half. Just keep at them and win the fking game, but no, let's sit deep etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.
Torn by not wanting to go Tuesday and literally don't know what to do. Nice one Vale. Absolute cowards second half.

  7. Embarrassing going to a side in the same division and setting up and playing like we were league 2 away at a premier club

One shot on target and one corner both in injury time

The less said about that car crash line up the better

Darryl got it wrong first half at Cheltenham last night. He made 4 changes for the second half and went back to attacking football. Ok, they didn't score /win but at least he tried to change it for the better.

  8. Yes it was terrible left on 70 mins .
I've never seen such a gutless performance
    They didn't want win
They played like they agreed to lose before a ball kicked .
It was so easy for them it was a disgusting performance
    96 quid watch that

    Awful
Bless ya, how many SVA was there?
So much wrong with tonight but we roll onto Saturday, which is going to be no push over, far far from it.
He has to set them up to go for it at home, simply has to, nothing else will do.
    Safe journey back mate

  9. Realise it's  easy in hindsight, but I have to say that initial set-up with our defensive record, always looked what it was....... a high risk strategy!  GD could sink us in the end.
Totally agree but we aren't going to score ethier so it's literally a case of wtf do we do.
If we'd gone at them and tried to take the game to them we still probably would've lost 3/0.
Tonight's been pretty embarrassing imo and veering on cringe worthy regardless of how good posh are

  10. Play with fire, you get burnt. No way in a million years were we not going to conceed.
Kind of understand why we are set up like this but surely it's fantasy to think we will hold out for 90 mins, especially after this season, I mean it's not as if we haven't seen it happen before.
Oh well. Stick or twist time. Push for an equaliser or stay as we are in a vain attempt to keep the goal difference down.
I know which one I would like to see us doing.
