  1. Christ, you can't hold the fact that he plays for us as a mark against him!
  2. There is an experienced striker with over 100 EFL goals to his name that we could have signed in January who instead went to Gloucester City, he's now scored six goals in eight games in the National League North so he still knows where the back of the net is. A player by the name of Theo Robinson 😬
  3. It's his testimonial this year. Wonder if he'll get one or if it'll go the way of Tom Pope's
  4. I can think of 180 million reasons why
  5. You're a weird wum
  6. It was Mighten who Moore was being castigated for not playing last week, Lopata this week. Probably Baylee Dipepa next week.
  7. Well sacking the manager and starting again with a new one has always worked out so well for them. Jolly good luck to them with their latest venture. I'm sure we can learn a lot from their continued success.
  8. A lot easier to improve on lower mid-table League Two players than it is to improve on promotion-winning League Two or lower mid-table League One players. However you look at it recruitment has been poor for a long time.
  9. Based on what? Three games to Nathan Smith's 388?
  10. I fear More may be the right man at the wrong time. Brown was the wrong man at the wrong time
  11. She looked daft by releasing the letter. She has to do what's best for the club and not worry about personal pride
  12. If that's the case then fair enough, got us a lot more then PVFCFAN or whatever the name is
  13. How many of those are football clubs though? Not that I think Matt Hancock is here or there when it comes to mistakes the club have made.
  14. That's something they annoys me. Okay stay away from a Lee Hughes or Cristian Montano (case was dropped I must stress), but who cares if a player has fantastic "values" as long as he's not a complete <ovf censored> then it shouldn't be a consideration if he is nice to children or loyal to his wife/girlfriend or whatever it is
  15. Clarke arrived as manager almost exactly three years to the day before Moore was appointed. Clarke failed to win in his first seven games in charge. From memory he started picking the same team, even though they were losing, because he felt he'd found his best eleven. No chopping and changing every week for Clarke. He kept slating the "deadwood" players, which made him popular with the fans (except Zebra). Though of course winning games and getting us promoted is what gave him a sustained legacy at the club. That isn't Moore's way to slate the players, and besides he can't release them in the summer like Clarke did because they're all on long contracts.
  16. I assume red means great signing and pink means okay signing?
  17. Yeah, aside from the academy lads then that;s all of them
  18. Pretty standard for a manager to privately say he'll be in a better position to work out the squad of players he is working with after a few games. Daft to think he'd had them figured out from watching old games on video or having a look in training. But it's just Carol making retrospective targets again to justify failure. It doesn't matter in this instance, but it is the director of football achieving all of his retrospective targets that is the problem.
  19. "I am convinced that this man will go down as the worst Port Vale manager in our ENTIRE history. FROM. DAY. ONE. No actual reasoning was given, before a ball was kicked, and a manager with Premier League and Championship experience - with experience of winning promotion from League One - is said to be the worst manager in the club's history. Why? This is just one crank off the internet rather than a significant portion of the fanbase, and everyone else has responded by saying he is in the wrong, but "Nobody has brought up Darren Moore’s race once". Well, the poster hinted at it by saying "Remember when we were racist for calling him fat? He shouldn't have been allowed inside Port Vale."
  20. Yeah he wasn't that bad but a lot of fans said he was comically bad, never a professional footballer, out worst ever signing, amongst other things. Ville Viljanen was another one. Every few years a player comes along and people say he's the worst they've ever seen. They've all got something in them though, even if their confidence is shot by the boo boys. Who knows, maybe Loft will go on to score a hat-trick in th Champions League like our formerly "worst ever player" big Reggie did after he left Burslem?
  21. He changed formation after one game and we played with a back four for the first time this season. Every defender has been equally culpable all season. We have a kid striking coming off the bench. Apart from dropping the reliable goalkeeper, what other drastic changes could he possibly do?
  22. Co-owner (with Carol), director (with Carol, Flitcroft, Matt Hancock and 2 other women). That's it.
  23. People say that about Martin Paterson. People said that about Reggie. No doubt they'll say it about whatever sucker Flitcroft pulls out of his arse to lead the line for us next season in League Two.
  24. Doesn't seem the brightest of ideas to cancel the contract of a fit striker at a time when we're critically short of strikers.
