  1. Yeah, aside from the academy lads then that;s all of them
  2. Pretty standard for a manager to privately say he'll be in a better position to work out the squad of players he is working with after a few games. Daft to think he'd had them figured out from watching old games on video or having a look in training. But it's just Carol making retrospective targets again to justify failure. It doesn't matter in this instance, but it is the director of football achieving all of his retrospective targets that is the problem.
  3. "I am convinced that this man will go down as the worst Port Vale manager in our ENTIRE history. FROM. DAY. ONE. No actual reasoning was given, before a ball was kicked, and a manager with Premier League and Championship experience - with experience of winning promotion from League One - is said to be the worst manager in the club's history. Why? This is just one crank off the internet rather than a significant portion of the fanbase, and everyone else has responded by saying he is in the wrong, but "Nobody has brought up Darren Moore’s race once". Well, the poster hinted at it by saying "Remember when we were racist for calling him fat? He shouldn't have been allowed inside Port Vale."
  4. Yeah he wasn't that bad but a lot of fans said he was comically bad, never a professional footballer, out worst ever signing, amongst other things. Ville Viljanen was another one. Every few years a player comes along and people say he's the worst they've ever seen. They've all got something in them though, even if their confidence is shot by the boo boys. Who knows, maybe Loft will go on to score a hat-trick in th Champions League like our formerly "worst ever player" big Reggie did after he left Burslem?
  5. He changed formation after one game and we played with a back four for the first time this season. Every defender has been equally culpable all season. We have a kid striking coming off the bench. Apart from dropping the reliable goalkeeper, what other drastic changes could he possibly do?
  6. Co-owner (with Carol), director (with Carol, Flitcroft, Matt Hancock and 2 other women). That's it.
  7. "you should write an open letter to the fans defending my record as director of football"
  8. People say that about Martin Paterson. People said that about Reggie. No doubt they'll say it about whatever sucker Flitcroft pulls out of his arse to lead the line for us next season in League Two.
  9. Doesn't seem the brightest of ideas to cancel the contract of a fit striker at a time when we're critically short of strikers.
  10. Don't worry. At this rate there'll be a thread for every member of staff at the club
  11. Maybe Norman was right when he said some Vale fans weren't ready for a manager like Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank...
  12. The tears and emotion she feels about the situation are real. Unfortunately so is the delusion about how things will turn out and who is responsible.
  13. Couldn't do much worse having him as director of football tbh
  14. A video of a short (three minute) speech that Carol seems to have given to a room of people. In the video, she takes the mic to speak and is very emotional, almost breaking into tears as she composes herself to say that she couldn't believe it when after a three hour zoom call with Moore talking to "me and Flickers", he rang back and said he'd take the job. She says Moore's values aligns with that of the club and that she is so pleased and proud to have him as manager seen as he is a Championship manager. She goes on to say that Moore told her that he needed three games to work out the team, see the measure of them. She says that she is confident he will turn it around now he's had those three games. She says it's a good squad and she's been with the new backroom staff and their family today. They all told her how fantastic Darren is and promised her that he'll turn it around. Personally, it's a difficult watch to see her in such a state. I'm sure Moore will get the squad winning games, but it'll be in League Two. I didn't like her saying "me and Flickers", didn't sound too promising for change of sporting director, but we knew that already.
  15. At all his previous clubs (including the successful ones) Darren Moore was criticised for making poor/strange substitutions. He was praised for building teams, being a positive force that lifted them up. But yeah, he's no tactical genius. If the director of football will allow it, then Moore can rebuild us in the summer. He won't save us this season though, not sure many managers could.
  16. 21st successive must win game. We need to avoid losing this one if we want to avoid being caught by Fleetwood
  17. They're all the same. Loss after loss after loss
  18. A Manchester United youth team player that had a brief cameo for us on loan some weeks ago
  19. It isn't a money issue for Carol. Though I'd be quite happy for Flitcroft to be paid his current salary and be barred from having any involvement with the first-team recruitment.
  20. Matt Hancock says the club are building a new website, plus an app
  21. I think Craig Davies said he was alright?
  22. I wonder how our infrastructure compares with that of Cheltenham's
  23. Darren Moore's first club
