  1. This. I find it thoroughly depressing people are talking of cashing in on him already. Would love to see him fire us back up.
  2. Gone for Garrity. YPOTY is Baylee for me.
  3. I'm convinced it is Bill. I just hope the club doesn't have a repeated situation this year with the third kit, trying to hide it from the fans and do a much later release. Even though the club has to submit the kits to the EFL for approval before start of the season. It was that hilarious fiasco that meant I saw the kit before most other people did. Still, I'd rather the Shanahans over V2001 / Norman. I never want to go through the same situations again.
  4. Shame the third kit has practically run out (I checked to see if any left), as something like that would make a nice away colour. It would either be that or black and gold (in some form), for me.
  5. From what I've heard about him, he does seem like the kind of bloke Carol would get on with ('values' wise, etc). Cambridge fan I know speaks highly of him, suppose we could do much worse. Anyway, I'll hold my hands up and say I think I got it wrong with Moore (you didn't).
  6. Been wondering this afternoon if there is even the patience at the club to give him as long as he needs. Even taking into account seeing some improvements in the squad, let's say we are middling around mid table next January with inconsistent results, I am not sure the pressure will be off him because of his terrible record in game management and style of play especially at home. For him to make it another 12 months, we are going to have to finish top half. Anybody's guess where we will be and I remain unconvinced Moore can do it. Dread to think what the managerial shortlist looks like if things go bad in League 2. Suppose it will depend on who gets the first conversation with Carol.
  7. This side would have benefitted 10x from Gibbo and even Benning. But it is what it is. But I'm one for looking forward, not back - there are plenty of other players out there.
  8. My worry with Moore is trying to figure out what his preferred formation is; because he doesn't seem to have one here and settled on what he did because of what he had available and the players had gotten used to (it wasn't the same setup as his previous clubs). So, I'm praying for balance rather than a mess and trying to cover every possible place on the pitch, we'll see. I think we are looking at 2 years minimum before coming back up, so what I'm hoping for is just better play from us next season and start building towards getting us back up.
  9. It was dreadful today what the hell. Fan behind me in the railway stand screaming "come on! I'm <ovf censored> bored" 😄 Mate and I considering next season still and hoping it's more competitive, but today wasn't pleasing one iota.
  10. I’m keen to move on from talk about Clarke, Flitcroft, the bonfire that was this season. It’s difficult to ignore and today was so poor it’s a terrible advert for next season’s STs. There’s going to have to be some good work in preseason and in the market to get a lot of people interested. Saying that there were a fair few happy to clap the players after that game in the Railway. Why, I have no idea.
  11. Good to get back and reconnect. But funeral dirges are more entertaining than that game. I’d like to think Buah came on so Moore could say to Carol we were chanting him and not booing.
  12. So Talksport pay a few nobodies at the FL72 clubs to do a pod for each club but won't put on commentary for the matches? That is piss poor.
  13. Ha, not by choice. But reconnecting with a mate as well and Good Friday didn't work out. Until I've sorted the new home situation it's a real faff sorting out getting to home games just yet. Currently based in South Staffs until I've bought somewhere in Stoke/Castle (looking in the summer).
  14. I've ordered now -- and got the tickets. But really should have been able to get in at the accessibility stand so I'll be having it out with them over the phone. Seems pretty stupid for me. Only games I've been to in recent years are away from VP, haven't been a home game since I last lived in SOT.
  15. Hmm, no, online is working fine for me. They need to have a word with whoever is telling me porkies in the ticket office
  16. Well it looks like I'm at home for this one because the club refuse to sell me a ticket as they are 'expecting trouble' and I haven't bothered to buy a ticket previously this season. Not sure why they think I'm a threat from the Accessibility Stand but there we go. I'm just wondering though, who are they expecting trouble from?
  17. Club option to extend by a year, is fairly common.
  18. Really hope Dipepa is retained and kept on, for me would be something to get excited about if he is leading the line next year as I'd give it a go. I hope we can look towards Plant and Shorrock as well and build the team around them so they can play in their natural positions. If we are getting rid of all our young players though, plus Garrity, it sucks the life out of the team for me and the new signings are going to have to be good. Loft has a part to play, albeit not a very big one but if he is in the squad I would rather look at using the money to make sure we bring in other players than paying the ones we don't want, off.
  19. It’s like a game of Takeshi’s Castle when you consider it’s Flitcroft’s crap they are having to manage with.
  20. It's wild that one of these are definitely true. 😆
  21. And that in itself, came from somewhere else. The 'Little Port Vale' or 'Little old Stoke-on-Trent' are phrases I've heard referred to the club or area for years. The other way of looking at it is a form of local pride. So I don't begrudge her for using the term that she probably thought was endearing. I definitely don't though. Lots of reasons I think that, not just Port Vale's owners or previous owners talking us down.
  22. Agreed - but not everybody is Flitcroft. The years of going back to the well of who knows the Vale went well for us with Foyle, Glover and Aspin, didn’t they. Heaven forbid we start listening to gobshite Pope as well and bring in Richard Duffy when DM gets gone.
