Seems to be a running theme with recruitment at Vale. Always hearing about bloody values over ability. And that's not just Moore, just seems to be any comment about anybody ever at the club is about their values and personality over their ability to do the job they are paid to do.

All teams built from the back and any decent manager knows this too. Whether Moore gets the chance to start again, I don't know at this point. I'm very despondent at what I've just witnessed, after forgiving the tactical approach at Peterborough, and others...

Hope we are happy to lose a few more by paying off Darren Moore, as I think is looking increasingly likely.

Other than a few on here basically demanding even more money put into the club to fund a striker or whatever, no. And I suppose that open letter made Carol a bit of a meme until Flitcroft went.

I don't think there really is an answer, short of football clubs and leagues all sharing revenue equally. If you were designing a fresh 'league' from scratch where no teams existed, the number of professional sides created in it wouldn't reach half of what is currently in the Football League if they also had to be solvent. So as for how Accrington are supposed to compete; they aren't. In any other business they (and a number of others) would just simply stop trading without their owners. I imagine things would be even worse if transfer fees were also illegal as well. There's a lot of money in football but at the same time, there also isn't. Some players make basically nothing as it is, when football is a 10-15 year career and that money is supposed to set people up for life after that.
