Overall the ref wasn't the worst but he wasn't great either. It's academic now but we should certainly have had at least one penalty for handball in the first half. Of the three handball incidents the third was a clear hand to ball as the Northampton player stuck his hand out to block the ball. The ref bottled it and allowed play to go on - very poor. Had we gone 2-1 up before ht the second half would have been very different IMO. Also, the ref convieniently missed Carlisle's assault on Shuker which again is very poor. Adams should make a formal complaint about that to the ref / FA / Northampton / Carlisle and the PFA, it was nasty and unecessary.

Agree we have had bad reds this season but on the whole I thought the bloke we had today was ok

 

Rubbish!Northampton had some quality, but aided by a weak ref, behaved like a lot of teams in this league with thuggish intent,and lets be honest it worked.Thank god were out of this dire division.
