Caroline I've been told by a good source that none of them are attending 'following police advice'===

not suprised, personally as events move forwward i can see it being a good number of years before any of them attend a match at vale park again.

I should just like to inform interested parties the the Police have been informed of Saturday's peaceful protest march which will start from the Bulls Head in Burslem at 2.30pm.

I would reiterate the need for this to be a peaceful demonstrate march as the aim is media coverage but not for any violence. Remember we must keep the moral high ground on this one and any fighting would defeat our objective as we want people to join us and not alienate ourselves in any way.

The coffin will not now be carried through Burslem but will be outside the main entrance at the end of the march. This is an attempt not to offend anyone.

Supporters are requested to bring their old Season Ticket wallets & vouchers and wreathes or flowers would make a big visual impact the press and media, I am reliably informed has have been made aware of the demonstration.

Lets show the doubters that we dont need violence to make our point on this one. LETS JUST SHOW THAT V2001 MUST GO

Good work Sage!

I am aware of the discussions between fans about planning a protest at this Saturdays Match at Vale Park. It is the role of Staffordshire Police to facilitate peaceful and lawful protest, and as the match commander I am happy to work with supporters who are looking to organise such activity.

In order to understand what organisers are intending to do it is normal practice for representatives of the fans to meet with the police to discuss the plans for the protest with the aim being to enable a protest to take place balanced against the need for others to go about their normal business.

Therefore, I urge any representatives of fans organising any form of protest connected with the match to contact the Football Unit at Hanley Police Station on 01785 234883 or email [email protected] in order to arrange for an officer to discuss the plans.

I don't think this march should go ahead has you are aware on many occasions officers from your force have had to stand between the protesters and the main entrance

Ban the march and arrest the trouble causers prior to the demo on section 5:ninja:

I know the intentions are for this to be a peaceful protest but I really wouldn't be surprised if this all descends into chaos after the game. There's always a select few who view protests for an excuse for a fight and with it being such a big game I predict trouble!

Kind of wish I wasn't going in the directors box now....
