There is no way that hes factored in all 9 fixtures between the top 7 to get that guaranteed promotion figure. The only guaranteed figure which is correct is that of Champions because Gillingham are the only team who can physically get that amount. Completely pointless table.

You are absoultely correct, and in fact it is worse than that, In 2008 for example he has put 88 as the promtion points total required- it wasn't, it was 83, as the 4th team had just 82 points. Therefore 83 would have done, the fact the promoted third team got 88 is incidental. This basic error has been made throughout the table, so it is worse than useless.

For those who cannot open it

The end of the season is getting closer, and this league, especially towards the bottom is looking so tight, it could go down to goals scored at the end of the season.

As you can see, its proper tight, with only a few teams flying high

You've obviously done a lot of work on this, but sorry to be thick, what does it really prove?

...not quite sure how 'alternative' this table is... haven't we all done this in our heads for the last umpteen years, working out the max number of points each team can get, how many more we need for promotion, to try and work out where we'll finish, to get to mid-table safety, to reach the 50 point mark, to avoid relegation etc.

Nothing new, I'm afraid.
