55 hours sounds in breach of the working time directive unless you waived your rights by signing an exemption.

 

Even so I would leave with a clean uncontroversial break. In some circumstances that can be achieved by negotiation. Only you can judge if that is likely to be possible.

Well I decided to just jack it in and start back at my old play on Monday, couldn't stomach the 15 hr shift, relieved is an understatement

 

Well done, and walking straight back into another job you're not loosing out money wise, though if it was getting you down that much its worth standing a loss.
