I agree the one i can remember the parkin shot was a great sliding block which i was right in line with it was heading right in the corner saved us from going a goal down

I was impressed with fleetwood's "Big Mac" at centre-half (McNulty). A big unit but excellent feet.

Clayton's more than good enough at this level and if he could do all the things you're suggesting he would be in the Championship at least.

 

I've posted before that I think the chant is not only sick, but it is probably not what he wants to hear or be reminded of - I always thought chants were to inspire our players not break their concentration.

He played well for the vast majority of the game last night - barring the penalty, which, even if it was a bad decision from the ref, was poor defending in the circumstances - but I'm still not entirely comfortable with him. He's very very good when the play is in front of him and can make some great tackles and (clearing) headers. But. When people get past him he's done completely, all round he's a bit lumbering. He's been far better this season than last, but don't get carried away.

 

On a side note. Please stop with those chants.

Clayton McDonald might just be the best defender in England right now.

 

McDonald will only play at Centre Half for as long as Doug Loft remains content:yes:

 

As soon as our inspired captain gets bored with playing left back he'll make a choice of which position he next wants to make his own. Every position is up for grabs when captain cool plays , including the big man's.

Maybe this season he's been able to concentrate fully on his game. When i've seen him play this season he's played very well!
