Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Yep. Sometimes there is a recall if they get a long-term injury. Also they can't play for anyone else anyway before the window opens. It's different if the loan is National League or lower. Liam Brazier is meant to be flying at the moment. He can still come back and play. He's also allowed to play for us in The Trophy next week.

Yeah I think Arblaster got recalled earlier due to injury, and that Sheff Utd had plans to loan him to a higher team. PVP somehow thinks though that they can just recall them at a drop of a hat, a recall from a parent club can only happen during a transfer window. Unless of course it's a serious injury.

There is little loyalty anymore and sometime players are put in difficult positions.  God forbid but lets say a Championship club comes in for Garrity and offers him double his salary over 4 years what would he do ?  What would you do in his position ?

Move. We only tend to offer 2 year deals now, and EFL financial rules mean we can only amortize over 3 years. Players will constantly look after their careers first, as they should.

I posted the interview with Chris Wilder when he recalled him earlier in the thread. He always said it was to play him. You are right he went back early for treatment.

Players are also only allowed to play for 2 clubs in a season.  In the case of Brown Derby can't recall him and loan him to someone else as he's already made 2 competitive appearances for them. The only exception is a keeper on an emergency loan. Derby can do an Arblaster but not a Devine! They can't call him back in January and sell him - unless to us! That rule covers all FIFA clubs.

He is going to move, and we will get a hefty sum for him. We will then replace him.

No it's not with my logic. A club can not recall a loan player outside of a transfer window. For example Wrexham can not recall Faal and Derby can not recall Brown. If Faal and Brown now start scoring goals for fun, they will be scoring for fun until at least January (injury permitted) if that was the case then Stoke would have recalled Lowe a lot earlier last year, they couldn't which is why he was recalled in January.

If all of Stokes strikers were injured and the only option was to end Lowes loan early I am sure they would of come to some agreement and let's say Faal is wanted back at Wrexham before his loan ends and both parties agree it's in the best interest of the player then I am sure it would happen.  The reason why it never happens is because all loan players are somewhat surplus to current 1st team requirements (except goalkeepers who can be recalled).

We offer 3 and 3.5yr deals to players with potential... oh and Curtis signed a 3yr deal and so did Byers,so did Paton and Tolaj as well as the young lads Shorrock and Walters(3.5yr) plant also as i recall

Yeah so as I said, 3 years pretty much the limit... I'm guessing the 3.5s were likely down to be mid season contract renewals. 👍

Why would we get an hefty sum for him? assuming you are on about Garrity

We have to agree to it if it's before January, they then have to pay us compensation. Point being is before January they can not recall a loan player without us agreeing to it. For example if Brown hasn't played a match by November they can request to recall him, which we would probably agree with no compensation. If he scores 20 goals from now untill November we can still agree but with a compensation fee. Point being is before January we as a club have to agree, in January we have no say.

No NTVALE I don't in anyway think that loan players can be recalled at "a drop of a hat" because they can't. Talking about loan recalls was a small comment in a bigger topic which has now been taken out of context.  I was initally talking about pro's and con's over loan and permanent players.

He can't, certainly not once the window closes. The only exceptions are emergency loan keepers. You can only be registered and play for one club between windows. You can be registered for 3 clubs in a season as you have the 2 transfer windows. You can't,  however, play for the third club who owns your registration during one of the windows. So if we signed a Crewe player in January but wanted to loan him to Salford to develop we wouldn't be allowed to play for us during January. In theory Derby could recall Brown to sell him to Everton in the January window. They could do that but he couldn't play for Everton until next season.  As soon as he steps onto a pitch in a competitive game he can't play for any other club this season apart from us and Derby. Everton can register him but can't play him.

I'm not talking Tolaj hefty, but if a Championship Club came sniffing around him now I think we would get a decent fee for our club captain, that decreases of course in January.

That's all I was saying, it's not cast iron or set in stone there are options in certain circumstances.

Why would they call him back, they can't register him until 1 January. I suppose in theory that could happen between now and Monday night. From Tuesday morning he can't play for Derby again until January.
