Didn't Sproson claim Crookes was one of our fastest players?

Anyway I remember him as a consistent 6/10 player too. Actually ok if you wanted to defend, but nothing going forward.

Zak Mills on the other hand? Wow..... Did the occasional wonder cross but very much offset by having the positional sense of a dizzy lemming.

Like I say, we can't realistically get rid of everyone. If some have to stay, I don't think Jones is the worst player to keep around.

Blimey I'd forgotten one or two of them(probably just as well!!).  I can't remember Wilson playing much at all tbh but wiki says he managed 7 games for us, he'd had 2 or 3 decent spells for other clubs before playing for Vale.  Somewhat similarly(although the other way around) Jules has also gone on to have a decent lower league career elsewhere since(he scored against us the other week to rub it in as well!!) although admittedly he was shocking for us but I reckon both of them could perhaps be down to them either not feeling it in relatively short spells or poor management as both showed ability elsewhere.  So I'd probably rank those 2 nearer the bottom of the list. I'd have to rank Mills, Jones and Fitzpatrick higher as they made more appearances.

It's actually tough to compare like for like with some of them as it could be argued some were more left sided CBs than actual full backs.  I also said Jones was one of the worst players I've ever seen not necessarily the worst.  I could probably name a few more to add to that list if you gave me time as well. 
We've had some shockers since good old Allen Tankard on the left side of defence!

I'm sorry but that ranking is outrageous Jules and Wilson above Jones... There's just no way youre remembering those two players correctly.

Lawrie wilson was an absolute embarrassment of a footballer when he turned up at vale park. Jules looked like he'd never seen a football before.

Yak is probably one of the worst centre halves I've clapped eyes on. Since his injury he's been worse than non-league. Won't be cheap either, if I remember right we were apparently fighting off other league 1 teams for him (bet those other teams are buzzing now)

Ideally I'd get all three out, but Jones is the least bad option for me.

Cass is a better option than Jones 

Cass has got decent pace and is good in the air he has got a mistake in him but where as Jones is prone to making several mistakes in a game but on a lighter note he's good at keeping the physio busy 👍

Cass is terrible. Failed to get into a our league 2 team and Stockports. Should tell you everything.

I’d take Tozer at that level 👍🏻 I thought the same when I saw they were getting rid of him on their retained list
