That is exactly what the SC needed to do and say and thanks to them for that. My interpretation is that this contract with the council is the sticking point. Until the FL have that no meeting can be arranged. But it is good that KR has made a statement through the SC. Now how about Begsbie Traynor making one, too, for their part in negotiating with the council (as rightly called for in RobF's piece today)?

 

2 points:

 

1. If we had been kept up to date with developments, then we would have avoided all the speculation and, in some cases, downright paranoia. If this is the level of communication we are to expect then it does not bode well.

2. The Senile has been widely recognised on here as a tawdry rag in the past. I see little evidence of change so why are people taking it so seriously now?

Radio Stoke are hardly market leaders in factual reporting,there will be plenty of "behind the scenes" work going on we have just got to hope all goes well in the next few days.

On considered reflection and a long trip down the motorway I wish to retract my last comment,if the legal guys have got their teeth into something it will will take them days if not weeks to get the job done,they love their own importance spinning out the problem ad infinitum.

 

Also Bob Young is running the show and be rest assured he aint doing it for nowt the very least he could have done is made a simple statement.

I believe that to be a separate issue. We should be deeply suspicious of the silence from VP regardless of whether the Senile report on it or not.
