How safe are we from the drop....

Of course we should be concerned.

I think if no-one else leaves we should be ok but if 2-3 others depart then we might sink into a relegation dogfight.

Normally you need about 50 points to be safe.

It is very easy to lose a few and go into freefall.

Not beating Barnet at home was a terrible result. We won't have an easier fixture than that one.

Complacency complacency complacency.

So many teams that thought they were too good to go down have been relegated over the years that this is one area where I pray that Micky Adams is more clued-up than some of our fans.

Firstly, 43 points is nowhere near enough to feel safe. I would want 50 at least, and preferably 52.

Secondly, it is no use saying Dagenham and Hereford are terrible and someone else adding they are nto as bad as Barnet when the latter have just beaten us !

If we were to lose to Dagenham at home and maybe draw with Hereford or vice versa things would start to look very nasty.

Yes, the odds are heavily in our favour, but the biggest danger is smugness and the thought that enough has been done already - it hasn't yet ! Get a draw at Crawley and beat Hereford in meidweek and I will gladly admit I was being paranoid - but 2 points or less from the next 3 games will flash real danger signs.

Totally agree mate :shifty:

That's a good post David, sadly I can't see us going to Crawley and coming back with the points as I don't see us being mentally strong enough to do it with all that's going on.

The key game is Hereford on Tuesday, we have to take three points.
