I have seen 'two members of staff keep jobs' on billboards as i've travelled into work. I guess the full article will be in the news section on here shortly.

 

Good news though right? - Things can't be 'that' bad seen as the two have been told they are keeping their jobs already (After 4 days of admin!) and of course Grewy got the chop last time around.

We oldies remember when we did OK with just Gordon Lee, Lol Hamlett and a bucket and sponge.

Like many businesses, we've got top heavy.

So much for the complete overhaul of Vale Park. The deadwood have got to go otherwise this will be all for nothing!! We need new coaches, players, boardroom etc.. so Vale can compete properly next season. Surely the new owner is going to clear these people out anyway

What is wrong with our current coaches? I don't expect an answer of 'they are ****'. Constructively, please follow up your comment above and explain what is wrong with our current setup.

 

I am not suggesting that everything is rosey and they are the best coaches in the world. I would just like to know why you feel that we need to get rid of all of them.

Well if we only lose rigg it won't be the end of the world, as long as rico, loft, griff, Collins and mcombe are still hear !!!!

I agree, we should be looking for a more experienced coach in that department. Grew was a good player, not great.

what about goodlad ? injury finished him but he was not going backwards.Johnny Brain seems to have done ok.Not picking a fight but every keeper is a pretty big statement

Getting back on topic slightly does the fact that both are staying show that finiancially (when you exclude the debt) we are not in too bad a state?

 

My limited financial expertise tells me that for us to be viable as a business then money in needs to at least = money out?

 

If money out (and I'm assuming ST money even if spent will have formed a part of the decision) was greater than money in then grew/the horse/both will have gone??

It certainly is and the fact that MA wants to keep both coaches suggests that he sees value in having them around.

 

If he didn't rate them, this was his chance to start again with a fresh team. He chose not to, which to me says a lot.
