Interesting to see that Forest haven't signed up, given the issues Fashanu supposedly had during his time there.

 

This shouldn't require clubs to voluntarily join in on an individual basis, non-acceptance of homophobia should be FA and Football League standard policy across the board.

Sadly some children on this thread still think its acceptable to band about inuendo about Perry Deakin and others. Well done you've achieved the seemingly impossible by stooping lower than the club.

For once I agree with you. Children is too kind, I have a child and she wouldn't make those sort of jokes, even she realises everybody is the same whatever their skin colour/sexuality/creed....looks like a lot of SOTs older residents haven't got a clue or still think it is 1970

I felt ashamed reading this thread. We regardless of how badly we want change should respect people for who they are not disrespect them fot what they are. When I go to watch games wetther is be Vale or Chester and I hear things on the terraces I have a little word with myself something to the effect 'I hope they find peace with themselves one day'.

This is a very gone news story. However who or why vale signed up to it as no announcement has been made- thats what im waiting for. But yes the comments again come out in indirect references on a thread which actually is about fighting homophobia. Im glad posters on here for example have children in 2012 starting to understand it. Believe me- its not common. There are many young people being influenced and not understanding the power of what they say. I expect the "banter" line to be used as usual. I think the gone intentions of the club will always be restricted by its practice of such initiatives. Im not knocking them for this signing up. Its always harder to implement things. I expect some statement from someone soon.
