Well lets see:

Martin - Here from a kid.

Tommo - Adams

Yates - Originally courted by Glover

Collins - Sinnott

McCombe - Sinnott

Owen - Glover

McDonald - Adams

Dodds - Sinnott

Haldane - Adams

Taylor - Sinnott

Griff - Sinnott

Loft - Adams

Morsy - Youth

Richards - Foyle

Pope - Adams and Gannon

Williamson - Adams

Rigg - Adams

Well thats a flavour so, the core of the side is not Adams signings.

Adams has extended contracts but based an excellent second half the 2009/10 season.

Funny how these players performances improve when contracts are due.

Its easy to blame ya manager when things are going well, but sometimes you have to have respect and accountability for ya own performances. All Adams can do is give them a formation and strategy, train them to follow it but once they are on the pitch its down to them. Theyve proved they can do it, when Adams was here before, so theres no excuse for the inconsistency they show now.

I think they all over performed and were riding on a crest for Adams before he left, all we are seeing now is the real standard that they are... this is their real level. So maybe Sinnott, Glover and Gannon werent entirely to blame... for performances... only for signing them in the first place...?

Well let's see:

Yates: bratt

Everyone else: Adams

That is the fact of the matter. He chose who to retain and who could go. Anything else is pure nonsense.

He also built this squad on a budget bigger than most in this league, so yes he could have got rid and replace them with better. He just struggled to spot a decent player.

To blame Sinnott, glover etc for signing them in the first place is ridiculous! Adams can motivate, if he loses that he is screwed! Anything else is excuses. He has been let down by the board recently, but part of the blame lies with the unbalanced squad lacking in depth due to substandard signings. Dont forget Adams was a member of the board whilst building this squad, so he couldn't have been too upset. It was also public knowledge that this years budget was bigger than last years. Adams has his strengths, but let's not make things up to defend his record. He is no longer the untouchable messiah he was previously, and that's the bed he made when he left.

Yeh and when he did have £350K to spend he bought Birchall from us!!![/quote

So he has already contributed more to Vale's funds than any current or former Vale board member.

And £350k for a 2 time MLS Championship winner and a 1 time MLS Cup winner plus Birchall has 39 international caps and 4 goals, seems like a pretty knock down price.

Not bad in the transfer market is Micky

In a nutshell, he wasn't lumbered with this squad, he built it over 3 years. He has had 3 pre seasons of deciding all signings bar letting Fraser go and re-signing Yates. If he 'knows he needs a new squad' then it's his squad that needs to be replaced. If these players were ripping the league apart, then you would give him credit for it...but that works both ways. It's called accountability, and that's what a manager ultimately has.

You need to direct that observation to Sheffield United fans

[quote name=I would hope that the last 21 games of the season the players realise that the Stoke fans are laughing at them 10 defeats in the league already tells its own story,we cannot afford lose another game this season we have already lost far too many .

[/quote]

I think MA should take some of the blame because he experimented with a fairly solid defensive formation and although we scored for fun at the start of teh season , we also conceeded for fun.

Most of the players have been here long enough now to make good judgements about what level they are at. I hope Griff stays and that some of the new / youth graduate lads and particularly Williamson and Morsy get a chance. I would like to see Lewis Haldane given another year because his last two seasons have been ruined by events beyond his control. In general though our players are league 2 / conference level and the results against Grimsby and against the top half of league 2 this season tell us that. Many need to be allowed to leave and find work at other clubs and we should bring in quite a large number of new players. Micky Adams has stuck by the players but unlike say teams like Rochdale and Bournemouth they have not improved to become promotion material. Change is needed irrespective of the budget available for players. I shall go along on Saturday and I hope it all turns round and we go on a run because in theory the playoffs are still in reach. But it will now surprise me greatly if we achieve that.
