Has Adams lost the respect of players?

Well lets see:

Martin - Here from a kid.

Tommo - Adams

Yates - Originally courted by Glover

Collins - Sinnott

McCombe - Sinnott

Owen - Glover

McDonald - Adams

Dodds - Sinnott

Haldane - Adams

Taylor - Sinnott

Griff - Sinnott

Loft - Adams

Morsy - Youth

Richards - Foyle

Pope - Adams and Gannon

Williamson - Adams

Rigg - Adams

Well thats a flavour so, the core of the side is not Adams signings.

Adams has extended contracts but based an excellent second half the 2009/10 season.

Funny how these players performances improve when contracts are due.

Its easy to blame ya manager when things are going well, but sometimes you have to have respect and accountability for ya own performances. All Adams can do is give them a formation and strategy, train them to follow it but once they are on the pitch its down to them. Theyve proved they can do it, when Adams was here before, so theres no excuse for the inconsistency they show now.

I think they all over performed and were riding on a crest for Adams before he left, all we are seeing now is the real standard that they are... this is their real level. So maybe Sinnott, Glover and Gannon werent entirely to blame... for performances... only for signing them in the first place...?

:yes::yes:

This group of players has performed under:

Adams

Grew

Horsefield

Gannon

Glover

Sinnott

Porter /Glover.

Apart from doing well at the beginning of last season - under Adams- they have been useless.

When will the penny finally drop with a large portion of our fan base, that no matter who the manager is, it is the c rap players that are to blame. And as the above point demonstrates Adams did not sign most of them.

No, but he re-signed most of them. He could have let them go.

And replaced a full squad of players with what? Buttons??

He had no alternative thanks to our potless board.

The manager is good enough to know he needs a fresh squad, but without the funding what can he do?

Your argument should be addressed to the board

6th biggest budget in the league. He could have used the wages on the players he re-signed on new players instead surely. The fact is, he isn't much cop in the transfer market.

Is that the board then or now? With or without Adams?

He should have kept out of it. He enabled Perry Deakin's takeover and the subsequent events.

Dont forget Cheltenham and their shoestring budget as well.

The facts of the matter is that there is doom and gloom everywhere and if you are Adams and the players, whereas 18 months ago it was a pleasure to come to work, im now pretty sure that each and every one of them arent enjoying coming into work and would jump at the chance to jump ship.

And i wouldnt blame them one bit.

Free transfers. Teams like Accrington etc don't spend money, yet John Coleman still manages to put together a team that challenges in this league.

Your argument in relation to Accrington is not coherent or consistent They currently sit only 4 points better off than us. They did not win promotion last year.

Teams with a similar budget to Acc - Macc, Hereford, Barnet and Aldershot continuously struggle.

One swallow does not make a summer.

May i point you to Stevenage, Dagenham, Rochdale, to name but 3 who have all got promotion during Micky Adams reign at this club.

Where do you get this '6th biggest budget in the league' comment from?

I keep seeing it mentioned but i've never seen any evidence to back it up. did Bratt say it once? Are you taking what he says as gospel now?

I can pretty much guarentee we do not have the 6th highest budget in the league this season.

Re your original comment about the players loosing all respect for him. Some may have but given the comments made by Collins, Richards and Owen upon Adams coming back i'd say youre comment was a load of nonsense. They were delighted he came back.

Are you sure Cheltenham have a shoestring budget? Their owner is one of the richest in english football.

May I point you to Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Bradford City and to a certain extent Shrewsbury Town.

All arguably at least as big as Vale budget wise, yet still struggling like f ook.

Does that make Parkinson, Buckle (sacked) Reid (sacked) and Turner sh it managers? Because like Adams they all have a track record of success.

Or are they victims of circumstance??
