Marc Richards on the way?

All you Richards lovers make me laugh the amount of criticism i hear in the railway paddock from folk who are older than me saying ,he aint putting it in (effort)the ball bounces off him more than he controls it ,he gets dominated far too easily by centre halves especially when we are behind in my opinion there has gotta be better younger hungrier players than him ,yes he has scored quite a few goals (penalties i may add).

I am judging him on what i c at Vale Park away from home he seems a better player but id like to c him play as he did v Chesterfield away 5-0 at home every game,i wouldnt get rid of him but his performance level needs to improve as do all the team.

Id like him to fire Vale to promotion can he prove to the Vale park doubters like me he is the business i eagerly awit his reaction om the pitch.

If I wasn't used to your crazy team selections I'd take this nonsense more seriously. However, do you really think rigg, dodds, pope and Williamson are better than rico? And will score more goals?

Grebo your just daft, he's not injury prone, what he is is key to out side. Look where we are in the league without him. His goal record over previous and current seasons speak for themselves. Any team in this league would sign Richards of us if he became available.

I am not slagging Richards off like some may beleave, but he does seem to have a dodgy ankle which is prone to blow up now and then, yes we miss him like mad and when he is fit he looks like he will score when he moves forward, his goal scoring record is excellent for the amount of games he plays a season but as for selling him I dont know how much we would get,how much did we pay for him ????? . I thought I read some were that he was hoping to play for the reserves which he didnt and it looks like he is out for Saturday .. Any way its just my opinion ..

rico hasnt exacly lit up the league and been prolific so doubt he would be that missed.........

Tumbleweed_MVF, I'm genuinely struggling to see what you base such a wild statement on? He hasn't 'lit up the league' as you so eloquently put it, that is true. However, do you not take into consideration that he has missed 13 games through injury, missed 3 games through suspension and he was only a substitute in the AFC Wimbledon and Dagenham & Redbridge away games?

He's made 9 starts (half a game at Plymouth) this season and scored 6 goals - says it all really.
