We need someone who can hit a good driven ball into the area rather than float it. And then we need clever organisation and movement off the ball.

 

Set pieces goals can change games and give us the edge. It would be a quick win and I'm surprised we haven't done more about this.

Richards takes a decent direct free kick if it's within shooting range. With corners, come on - a week on the training ground please. Just make life ockered for the oppo. Not necessarily score (we don't anyway) just put a bit of pressure on and maybe work off the scraps if it's not cleared properly.

yesterday in the first half loft was free and unmarked for every corner we had, screaming for it but we have no one with the vision or ability to get it to him.

 

I've thought for the last couple of seasons that we dont practice set pieces enough it looks as though no one ever knows a routine or what they supposed to do every time we have a set play just looks improvised and if we didnt have pope we would loose the ball more than we win it

 

pope was colossal yesterday won everything in attack and in defence I think he cleared almost everyone of their free kicks and long throws in the last 10 minutes
