Where is the money coming from?

Crikey, what a palava!

I've only just got back to you because I've Bin Laden down with work and just got in.

But, if you're expecting an apology, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. It was clear that the quote in question was used metaphorically, and subsequent posts have confirmed that.

If anyone deserves an apology, it's the Vale fans on here who are not "in the know" who you have spent all day attempting to belittle. At one point you made a comment towards ignorant assumptions and challenged people to provide facts/documentary evidence in support of their contentions, yet when put to strict proof yourself declined and resorted to the high and mighty "I know more than you" approach. That isn't going to help unite the club/fans. It's been one of the problems for the last 8 years. Transparency, openness and honesty is all that I want, and that ultimately, will see an end to all of this mess.

Whilst details are kept to a special few, there's never going to be any trust garnered. Without trust, the club will continue to lose fans, and without these fans onside, regardless of this investment, the club won't progress.

Believe me, I want to go back. I want to go the Bulls for a beer before the game with my dad, brothers and uncle. I want to watch the lads on the pitch, but, I will not do so until it's clear that change is afoot. So far, all I've seen is a woolly statement in the Sentinel, a nod here, a wink there and no definites on where the money is coming from, a breakdown of where it's going and how it's going to help on-field matters.

I am now more ****** off with people like Sv than I am with the board. Just getting more and more comfortable with my decision to stay away.

Well, I now know more...

I now know that the Bluesky money is not going to help much in the short term. I don't know still how much it will be exactly, but it won't help us much, even with Perry Como's money.

I know that the Bluesky investment may help us in the medium- to long-term (which I judge to be 3 years or more away). This positive outcome, however, is based on a successful business restructure. Never easy to do, even when you know what you're doing.

I still don't know anything about the future governance of the club. It would seem that the board will be ML, PD, MA and someone from BS (possibly). But I still don't know what role major shareholders will play in this or former board members still holding major shares.

In the short-term, we seem to have about £500,000 to play with (but this is not certain and there is no info on how long it will take for the club to get this cash). We are losing money as well, as we cannot reach our break-even cash figure. This situation needs to continue for 3 years or more, as only then will the benefits of the BS deal be felt.

Now I know these things - or at least know some of them - I still don't see the BS deal as all that great. It is very much jam tomorrow, or jam possibly tomorrow. All the above points would be judged as very high risks for any business as they are so uncertain. What do we really know about BS even now? Can they grow in the way they are hoping and if they do not what happens to the so-called £7.6m investment.

The short-term period of up to 3 years would seem to be the same make do and mend we have witnessed over the last 8 years. It doesn't work, and we may not be in any position to take advantage of the medium to long term pot of gold that may or may not arrive as a result of the BS investment.

How you can say this is great, SV, is beyond me.

and how you can say it is not is also beyond me. Half of your statement above is based on what you seem to know, or dont.

so how about you wait until you do - and then judge it. until then, remain positive..because what other choice do you have?

I'd say all of my statement is based on what I know and don't know.

I remain to be convinced that it is a great investment...the burden of proof is on those advocating it. I am not sure what they are waiting for.

I am neither positive nor negative - I am indifferent, to tell you the truth.

i will agree with you - i dont know what they are waiting for. i hope that is it worthwhile. and when we see the big picture we understand why. although i doubt it.

i am positive though......

This Bluesky investment are not actually offering any hard cash to cover losses.

Mike Lloyd says we need 5800 to break even. We didnt even get that against Shrewsbury when we were 3rd so god help us over the next few cold months.

So, presumably, we are making a loss.

IF the plans from Bluesky go ahead (I doubt it) then the RW suite etc, will not be ready for a good long while, therefore no money is going to be generated from the Bluesky project for a long while to come.

So, in the meantime, who keeps the club afloat and can we avoid administration?

Well who's fault is it that we're not reaching 5800?

Try turning up and supporting the team instead of spending your days writing doom and gloom on here.

Stop projecting and expecting the downfall of the board and try giving hindsight a chance. If and when we go in to 'administration' by all means have a dig at those you feel responsible but until that happens, why can't you just support your team and ride this out?

We have a really good Manager, who will soon sort out the flaws in the team, ie the defence, and we are sitting on a potential large investment.

Things aren't as bad as you'll keep having us believe.

It became irritating a long time ago, and I choose to support my team, and not listen to this negative rubbish which lost all credibility a long time ago.

well done naylor you are vales no1 fan and are getting just the club you deserve,a club which tells the fans just what they want them to hear instead of what they need to hear,a manager who jumped ship at the first sniff of a better job (and will prob do it again if championship come sniffing).personally i dont care about vale anymore after 28 years i had enough after the march before the first game being abused by fellow so called fans because i was wiling to stand up against the men who have ruined the vale.

but dont worry naylor you are the sort of fan lloyd needs who beleive his bull**** without question
