Nice 15 minutes away from my girlfriends house. It is saying on Wimbledon website that it is all ticket but can still buy online for collection on Saturday or get them from Vale ticket office!

I don't know if there is many by the ground. But Kingston town is a good area. Lots of places to drink!

Ben I asked the same question to a Womble fan on the L2 message board ....this was his reply:

Hi Womble...some help would be appreciated for Vale fans going by car....where are the best/safest places to park the car? and what are the pubs like near the ground?

 

There is a car park at the ground, which will be the safest. You will have to get there at 1.30pm at the very latest to get a space though, and probably a fair bit earlier. There is some parking in the surrounding roads within the Cambridge Estate. It is an Estate though, so not as safe as the car park, although I've not had any problems with my car there over the years. Best roads to park are those between Gloucester Road and King Henry's Road south of Porchester Road, and Orme Road to the north. Be careful with parking restriction signs though, and definitely don't park in any of the cul-de-sacs.

 

Pubs round the ground are not great - better to drink in Kingston or Wimbledon. You could park in either and get the bus to the ground. The Bristol Rovers fans seemed to use the Prince of Wales, further down Kingston Road from Kingsmeadow, if you want to be local though.

I see on the wimbledon website that the vale game has now been made all ticket.

 

Changes in arrangements for Port Vale supporters this Saturday

 

We would like to make Port Vale supporters aware that the game this Saturday will now be all ticket for away fans. This decision was taken after consultation with the police.

 

Away supporters who wish to come to the game can still buy tickets in advance through Port Vale, or alternatively through our online ticket shop.

 

Any tickets purchased through the online ticket shop will be held for collection on the day of the match.
