When Glenda was asked at the meeting on Thursday what he had brought to the club during his eight year stint all he could say was that he had been responsible for bringing Mickey Adams to the club by talking to Dave Bassett.

 

To confirm that the "investment" was by Ameriturf. When Mike Lloyd was telling us what he had brought to the club he said he was going to America to sign up the deal at the end of this month and that he had already been to see the people with PD and he was paying for the trip himself.

 

Interesting that Lloyd is taking credit for bringing Brian Melzack and the Americans to the club

This investment will certainly not secure the future of PVFC. It is limited to 24.9% which will equate to around £400,000. Out of which Mr Bratt will get £115,000 for his shares and either Mr Oliver will get his money back which is around £50,000 or he will just enshrine himself on the board for the rest of time. This has nothing to do with the longterm future of the club but keeping this crowd in charge, and that will only put the future of this club on course to oblivion. No money, no vision, no business plan equals no future. We must call an EGM before its too late!!

 

Plus all other fee's & costs to be taken from that amount, it will mainly mean diddly squat in money terms to Port Vale

Wasn't it Bassett who phoned Glenn? But credit where it is due Glenn, you answered a phone call, which is more than Bratt managed to do whilst taking over £50k a year while CEO.

 

And well done Mike, its taken him 8 years to find something to say when asked what he actually does, as at the supporters club meeting before the EGM he couldnt answer. And he knew nothing about the Ameriturf deal when asked.

 

Gosh, what a driven and ambitious board we have!
