Is it not a sorry state of affairs when:

 

a) supporters feel strongly enough against the board that they choose to stay away from the game.

 

b) we have supporters who seemingly get some sort of gratification from ridiculing others for their beliefs.

 

c) the board (and some supporters) are seemingly happy for those that choose to stay away never to return to Vale Park again.

 

d) some see a draw against a team promoted from Non-League as a positive.

Does that give you some perverse satisfaction? Fans argueing with fans.... people not able to go and watch the team they love because they hold to their principles. It gives me not satisfaction at all.

 

I was at the march in Burslem then went home. I did actually see half a dozen fans outside the New Inn and they were booing.

Those who were booing the march had absolutely no idea what was going on. They were shouting at people for not going to the game when loads of those on the march DID go to the game.

 

The most disappointing aspect of it was the behaviour of those in the Red Lion. The marchers stopped singing and simply walked passed the Red Lion clapping in deference to Quilpy. Those in the door of the pub showed their respect by telling us all to "f*** off". Showed real class that.
