The club have only raised the price as a v sign to all the starve em outers, they think once the season starts that after a few games we will pay on the gate.

£20.50 is a punishment for standing up to them and not buying a season ticket.

You can shove the pay on the gate up your **** PVFC board as i for one wont be going again until you have done what the true owners of the club, the shareholders want and that is to resign.

it may change some peoples minds as for me i will struggle but i turned back after an hour travelling last Saturday even when it was £10

If you had been travelling for an hour before deciding to turn back, how much had you already spent on petrol ? Lets see......2 hours, 50 or 60mph average speed, in a car that maybe does 50 miles per gallon - could be about 2 gallons at about a fiver a gallon in old terms - comes to.........well, isn't that amazing ....... £10, same as the entrance fee you just saved.

Have you told Alan Sugar, Dragons Den and the monetary policy committee of the Bank of England about your financial wizardry ?

Bea, may I qoute from T_MVF

"I did until this season not putting vale 100% 1st as to drive 330mile round trip to watch rejects at vale park"

Using you equation of 50mpg@£5 per gall this equates to £33 total round trip.

By turning round and using only £10 of petrol, he SAVED £23 plus the £10 admission.

Alan Sugar would be so proud of him.

OS - The point I am making is that every seat at Vale Park is at least £20.50. The cheapest price that an adult will pay at Port Vale is £20.50. At all the other grounds AVIM lists, you can pay less than £20 to watch those teams. There are a few seats which are more expensive than Vale's most expensive seats, but plenty that are cheaper than Vale's cheapest.

The point I am making is that Port Vale are the only team in League Two where, as an adult, you will have to pay OVER £20 for EVERY seat in the ground. No other team is that expensive.

Any chance to have a dig.................

Surely if attendance drops you drop the price? to target the "masses" of fans that are not seo and are priced out of the matches, come on, raise the prices? how on earth would that help?

It's been raised by a quid!!! It's hardly a bank breaker is it.

Do you really think there are a mass of fans out there?

You got a season ticket because you said that you couldnt afford the match day prices, so it is a bank breaker to some people.

I can afford. I just don't see the point of spending twice as much when the offer of a season ticket is there. You're not going spend £400 on the same thing that will cost you £250 are you?

But they all offer cheaper tickets than Vale do. My point is there is not one seat at Port Vale where an adult can get in and pay £20 or less. No other team in League Two has that.

It shows what a rip off Vale's prices are.

Be interesting to know how the season ticket prices compare to other clubs. Possibly, because of SEO, Vale were trying to "encourage" season ticket purchase by charging OTT at the turnstile.

A season ticket is obviously the answer if £20 is too much for anyone.

Although the initial outlay can be tough for some in the current financial climate.

However, i heard yesterday that if you are now 60 or over like my dear old bro' is now  ... He only has to pay £15 a game now...

He usually has to miss 2/3 games a year due to other commitments so for the first time ever hasnt had a season ticket this season..
