macc just pocketed 200k, so have loads of cash,,just because he didnt score many, from what i saw he was better than jricichards, made a nuisance, and had some hard luck!! at least he can score with his head iunlike anyone else apart from our centrehalfs!!

I don't think that Roberts and Pope would be messing around under Adams, we saw a big change in Roberts when we lost Mickey Adams, he seemed to lose his direction and discipline, and Pope WANTS to play for the Vale, I think that if we could get him on board then go for it.

He had 2 good games and in the rest he was anonymous or garbage. At Chesterfield away he failed to hit the target once in the warm ups (even empty nets) and when the game started he was absolutely rubbish. The only thing he has, is he is better in the air than our other forwards, apart from that he offered no more than Justin Richards IMHO.

Adams would put Pope on the straight and narrow and under a pre-season with Micky I think he'd be a good addition to the squad.

To be fair Guppy, you don't help your argument when you get the numbers wrong! 3 in 13 he scored and 2 were in 1 game, so he didn't score in 11 games (85%).

 

His goals weren't as good as we would have liked, but he's the best player in the air out of... well most players in League Two. Working up front with Rico (in a 4-4-2 remember, gannons formation only had rico up front centrally) he would be useful in knocking balls down and holding the play up. However, Justin Richards can hold the ball up well so do we really need another striker like this. If we signed him then I would be happy, but if we didn't I wouldn't be too gutted.

He's capable at this level, and with some regular training he'll be the asset that convinced one club to part with £150k for him.

 

With these clowns in charge, Adams is doing all he can to get a competitive side in. Let's not take it out on the lads he's bringing in, it's not their fault.

 

They should be welcomed like any other player, they're here out of good faith. They certainly aren't coming here for the money are they!
