Desperate times already on the squad size front. A few injuries and all of a sudden we are down to 5 subs including the Horse, a kid, and the youth team keeper.

If Halifax are a decent side as i think they will be then this could be a long night for the lads.

A "strong Port Vale team" are playing Stone Dominoes away tomorrow night at 7pm. I assume that means Martin, McDonald, Haldane, Taylor and maybe the Richards boys will feature there.

Ryan Burge is still struggling with the knee injury which has plagued him throughout pre-season, while Ben Williamson has a slight hamstring strain and also will not feature. Both players are also unlikely to play against Stone Dominoes tomorrow night, although the duo will be assessed ahead of Saturday's home pre-season friendly against Walsall.

 

Phil Roe is still out with the hamstring strain he picked up during the first pre-season game in the United States, against North Sound Seawolves.

 

Marc Richards is continuing his recovery from an ankle problem and is unlikely to play against Halifax, although the Vale captain could feature later this week. His namesake Justin Richards will be absent due to family reasons.
