Multiple Usernames

It's quite clear that some posters are using multiple usenames, in order to try and get their point across.

 

Is there anything that RobF or admin can do to stop this?

 

There are decent arguments on both side of the board debate. Sadly some of the better posts, particularly on the pro-board side, are being undermined by posters who simply want to derail each thread, presumably for their own agenda/amusement.

I think that'd be quite difficult to achieve now Lee. I'd much prefer it if 'real names' were used. Perhaps there wouldn't be so much abuse! :rolleyes:

 

I agree with what you're sying re the debates etc. Some who shall be nameless, you know who you are, will do anything to spoil a decent debate by their constant one line posts that bring nothing at all to the debate. The best way I suppose is to completely ignore the WUMs It is annoying though as it can take a thread completely off tangent and that's being really rude to the thread originator. We are working on it though.. ;)

How would that work though, as i log on at numerous addresses and online, so you could just have 5 or 6 user names then

Most people would be able to switch off their router and instantly get a new IP address - so could sign up for another username. So that wouldn't work!

There's a small cabal of usernames who seem to take turns at having a go, in the same way that a different player will each have a kick at the opposition's star player at the start of a game.
