What do people expect, two monotones talking in Oxbridge English with plums in their mouths not daring to say anything other than a football comment, Blakeman and/or Ray Williams, Micky Cullerton or Phil Sproson are excellent, they all have their strengths and bring a different angle to the proceedings, keep up the good work lads, we're all Port Vale or supposed to be.

I don't care how they speak infact there should be a dialect for me given that it's local radio but they are paid to commentate on the game, not chat about personal issues and repeat them monotonously whilst some of us who fund their employer and tune in to listen specifically to the game are frustrated.

Listen to TV or Radio 5 Live commentaries for example, that's the way to do it. It's like going to the game and sitting in the toilet all game!

On a side note Cullo is excellent and Ray Williams is like a new summariser this season, well done Ray just lose the muppet ;)

So I take it you're not a fan of TMS where there is tons more banter than actual cricket commentary and it's not the nature of the game, indeed the banter is what makes TMS and always has done. The "cakes in the commentary box" has been going on for decades and there have been many times when the on air commentators couldn't commentate for laughing, cue Brian Johnson.

I subscribe to VP and tune in to specifically listen to the game and wish to be entertained as well as informed, life is fun....enjoy it while you can.
