I'm curious, what (in your opinion) is our place as fans?

We are customers - like it or not - and we are there to get behind the team and hope they win. If we are treated correctly as customers (communicated to; listened to etc) then that is fine. If we are taken for idiots then we have every right to voice our concerns. If these concerns are not heeded then we can withdraw our custom. If Sainsburys hike up their prices or do not open at convenient times or offer sub-standard goods then I will not shop there any more. As a fan, things are more complicated, but it is essentially the same arrangement.

You're all coming out of the woodwork now you think you have "won" (not sure what it is you think you've "won" however).

You want us all to "get behind the boys" etc etc

You don't give anyone anything to get behind, though....apart from vague promises of promotion (we can all promise that).

What am I supposed to be getting behind here?

Answers on a postcard....

Nobody thinks anybody has won, because the only thing that is happening is our fanbase being split into two. Winning would be all pulling together and moving forward. This obviously isn't going to happen short term and unfortunately it will affect our performance on the pitch this term. We should remember that we all love port vale, and we all want the same thing long term, because the split in the fanbase is a massive negative. I haven't got a solution to put on a postcard, i wish i had. It wasn't long ago we were beating notts county at home the year they got promoted, the atmosphere was electric, same again against shrewsbury, electric. I want that every week, the stands being the 12th man, it makes a difference.

Perhaps you could explain how our current board have encouraged anything even resembling "moving forward"?

And I am not sure everyone does want the same thing long-term...many seem ok with a team floundering in the lowest division. We are where we are - remember?

The club obviously does not want to progress so any success on the field will inevitably only be fleeting at best.

When Bratt and co **** off, then it can be like that again. Can't you see it is them doing this. They have got to accept investment. Or else we will never have the good times again. All these potential investors can't be wrong. The wrong is already at the club.

Agree with that. Unfortunately I cant see is moving forward with the current lot in charge. They have caused it, but they are more interested in their own self preservation. I know I am repeating what has been posted a thousand times before, but I dont think the club can move forward and come to together while they are still here. No matter what attempts there are to bring the fans together. If SEO and B+G stopped campaigning today, it wouldnt make a difference. While V2001 stay, the club is damaged.
