I anit a pro boarder, just pro Vale, i aint been in any woodwork, was posting quite happily in the run up to the EGM, aint smug in anyway as nothing was up for winning.... Im just carrying on supporting my team and hoping all the off field shennanigans will continue to subside...

I wouldn't say the pro boarders are coming out of the woodwork, I just think the goalposts have moved...people who want to talk about football or even those who don't think people should be shouted down for wanting to go to the games or talk about football are being referred to as "pro-board" on certain threads!

Everyone seems to be pinning the long term survival of our football club to a Micky Adams led successful season culminating in promotion. This seems to be based on the fact that until he left us mid season we were top 6.

 

Considering his relatively hit and miss career as a manager over the length of his managerial history, do you not think that this is a somewhat risky path to tread? What about injuries for example? What about the fact that there appears to be a half dozen or so clubs there or thereabouts that have to be looked upon as serious title and playoff contenders.

 

Bearing this in mind, what's your Plan B. How do you see this board safeguarding the future of our club if we are not a success on the pitch. Does Micky need the added pressure, especially with his most recent tenure being the debacle at Bramhall Lane.

I've said elsewhere that I can always stomach failure on the pitch - it happens. What I cannot stomach is a lack of ambition or drive or professionalism off it....that is unforgiveable.
