You can never write off Micky Adams though, he's not come back to Vale to finish 14th. Forget the off the field problems, not many teams in this league are without them. The fact is we have quality right through our team, and these players excel under Adams. Owen, Collins, Roberts, Richards is as as stronger spine as any in this league. This is League 2, we're Port Vale and we have probably the best Manager in the league. The Manager counts for a lot at this level, that bit of extra organisation is the difference because there's not an abundance of quality about.

 

We won't win the league but there's no reason why we can't be comfortably in a playoff position with a shot at the top 3.
