Wilshere has been 100% better in the second half. Is that because he's playing alongside Ox? Arsenals style of football is very different to the other teams in the premiership.

Sterling has been well below his best for the four or five games. To me he looks tired, but let's not forget that he's 19 and learning all the time. I love how you try to reflect a debate on what Wilshere offers by brining in other players, just as you did with Chambers who has looked League Two level at times tonight. :D

Henderson isn't hyped anything like Jack Wilshere, and has never been a player that dictates a game anyway.

There's lot to complain about. A lot of players were dire, the first half was absolutely woeful and even in the 2nd half when they were wilting we only scored a further three goals.

 

We don't have a great team but we really should be doing so much better. Hodgson is out of his depth.

It doesn't matter if he's 19 or 29. He's started a lot of games over the last 12 months and that takes it's toll on any player in the end, and to me he's not playing with the same sharpness at the moment.

 

Wilshere was our best player second half, a decent 45 minutes against a side Vale would beat hardly makes him a great player all of a sudden. He's massively over-hyped and nowhere near world-class.

We were dire in the first half but at least Hodgson realised this and brought the 2 worst players off and replaced them with the correct players who should have started. Second half we played a lot better and scored 4 goals. Had the first been the same it would have been 8-0, a very good score line instead of the average 5-0 which should have been 6 bar a terrible refereeing decision.
