just out of interest when we moved out to Italy we took up Perugia as our second team mainly because they were the nearest team and I remember Vale beating them in the Anglo Italian cup. They seem a very similar team to vale I remember watching them a few years ago they seemed to concede at every corner I thought to myself where have I seen this before! Anyway a few years ago they got caught up in the financial scandal and they were dumped in the D' division playing local teams a la Kidsgrove athletic. They have languished in C division loosing out in the play offs last year. Any way to finish this season they were top by one point and they had to play the team behind them at home and they managed to beat them and have been promoted to B' division they had a crowd of 25,000 it was really tense it was just like when we beat Brizzy rovers in the play offs
