Both Craig Davies and Danny Whitaker were not exactly legends in their time at Vale. Nobody made much fuss when they left the club.

If Davies had stayed I don't think he would have scored anything like the number of goals he got for Chesterfield, as he would not have had the service. He scored something like 7 in 25 games (approx) at Vale and that proves the point.

 

That isn't to say that we wouldn't have benefited from those players, but Vale's budget was still much higher than Accrington, Stevenage and many others whose players got them to the play-offs.

 

When he was with us, Jan/May 2010 we collected enough points for promotion. The other teams have better players, better tactics, playing styles different.

Bea, last season we brought in Craig Davies in January and we nearly got there from way behind in the table.

 

This January despite having Micky's pay off we not only didn't bring in anyone of the class of Davies we couldn't even afford to keep the two young loanees we signed.

 

That is life under V2001 and unless you and everyone else gets off their backsides and does something about it then you'd better get used to it.

 

Sorry to be aggressive but I'm sick and tired of fans who STILL can't seee that this Board is taking us nowhere except out of existence.
