Horses for courses up front depends on opposition, Micky will know best, I think we are quite well off for options amongst our strikers, willo not prolific but his pace frightens defenders, Hughes experience and knowhow, Pope proven goalscorer if fed and Tomlin looks good with the ball at his feet and can take players on. Also now Jordan Hugil chomping at the bit.

I think Birchall would do ok in the middle.

At the moment there's no urgent need to rush Lofty back and risk the same injury again but at the right time I would find a place for him.

Not necessarily. If it's a choice between an excellent left back and a liability in the centre of midfield, or a very good left back and a very good defensive mid, them the latter if preferable.
