Tom Pope - worth a bet ?

Just received an email from Betbright, Vale's online betting partner, with a very interesting offer and quite unlike anything I have seen from any of the other online bookmaking firms.

The offer is that you have to deposit and bet £10 (on anything) and if Tom Pope scores (seems not to have to be related to your bet) against Walsall, you get a free £10 bet with them.

Looks worthwhile for anyone going to have a bet on this weekend's matches anyway, as Tom is due a goal and I quite fancy him to get one at Walsall.

Thoughts ?

Is this for new customers only? If so it's no better than their initial offer of deposit/bet £10 and get a £10 free bet

Have a tenner on Tom NOT to score and you`re quids in! I think

or rather stuck with a refund £10 to bet on a dead cert like Bayern Munich, all depends on when you`re allowed to withdraw your funds I spose...

With free bets you'd be able to withdraw it as soon as the bet is settled but you also don't get your stake back so if you put it on odds of 1/2 you'd only get a fiver back.

I found BetBright pretty bad in general and prefer sticking to more established bookies.

I don't think you can bet on a player NOT to score, but even if you could it would be about 3 to one on (1/3). I didn't have any problem withdrawing funds from Betbright before.

Nezzer - no, existing customers not new ones. Presumably new ones could have both offers.

I approve of the idea of PVFC getting something from my bets, no idea how much but it all helps and Betbright's odds are as good as most and better than some.

How's the humble pie taste?
