  1. I heard Lofty did it fighting for a shirt. Unfortunately Boomer was having none of it.
  2. Didn't you read Carols letter, it's the fans fault.
  3. Didn't you know. It's all part of Port Vale in the Community. The people with no hope, failures in everything they've ever done, people who can see nothing in their future, we've signed them and given them 2 year contracts.
  4. Flitcroft is right about one thing, becoming League 2 ready isn't entertaining.
  5. I guess the fans representatives requested a meeting with the club management but who the club fronted up for that meeting was probably out of their control. I would hope whether our DoF was absent or present would not have altered the tone of the conversation. If approx 90% of your paying customers think a particular individual is responsible for your current demise and do not want him at the club anymore then it's foolish for a business person to ignore such strong sentiment. Especially a smart business person.
  6. Unfortunately the couple he is trying to bring in are George and Mildred
  7. Let's hope Carol has an Emperors new clothes moment very soon and sees what we are all seeing. Flitcroft , who almost got us relegated last season, will this season. As he is the person responsible for everything the ball touches, why is he still here ? Forget all the other stuff he does the only part of his job that really matters is keeping us in this division . Carol he is failing Port Vale, the fans can see it even if you can't. Forget the smooth patter and actually look at the league table. Phenomenal players don't get you relegated, phenomenal players get you promoted.
  8. Carol says the players are phenomenal, the League table tends to disagree.
  9. Flitcroft would probably sign Loftys twin brother. Probably been chasing him for a while.
  10. Spot on. We can all argue over the merits of the players, even individuals who might split opinion like Sang. The one thing we cannot dispute is we escaped relegation last season by the skin of our teeth. This season the management team appear to be having another serious crack at it. Who has put us in this position and overseen this disastrous recruitment? Who is responsible for " everything the ball touches" ? Ah yes , Dave ( he's doing a great job ) Flickers. Sorry Carol he ain't and I'm not even a clever business person and even I can see it along with the vast majority in the ground.
  11. I nearly won the Lottery, just 4 numbers short. I thought I was going to win it right up to the last minute deadline until they only pulled 2 of my numbers out.
  12. And it's not,on the pitch is where it really, really matters. Who is the man responsible for everything the ball touches ?
  13. Agreed it's 2 mistakes, appointing him and then keeping him in a job.
  14. Carol has spent her money in the wrong areas. It's money spent on the players on the pitch that keeps you in this division. Everything else plays second fiddle, I appreciate the ground has to confirm to legal requirements but we are going down. We don't need a DOF but what we desperately need is a goalscorer. The man responsible for everything the ball touches nearly took us down last season ,I'm convinced he will go one better this season. Why is is still here ? Must read Carols letter again.
  15. Of course I'm worried where our goals come from and I'm also worried how leaky our defence is. My biggest worry though is where is our fighting spirit going to come from.
  16. My disappointment isn't based just on this window but goes back to the previous January. We were desperate for a striker then and the failure/ gamble in not recruiting one almost took us down. This January has a Deja Vu feel about it and I just hope that our luck holds out this season too. However to have had such a fundamental problem as a business and not address it , knowing we have that problem smacks of negligence.Unbelievably I'm not confident that we won't still be in the same situation come the end of the next January transfer window . The problem wasn't sorted last Summer so why will it be sorted this one, strikers will be just as expensive.
  17. Crewho were always held up as the model for growing your own players. Their fans complained that they only got to see them play in the first team for 1 or 2 seasons . Our crop of "wonderkids" seem to get sold before they even make the first team.
