Benning played well for a fifth of the games he played for us, for 4/5 he was crap.
Benning IMO is much better as an out and out left back rather than a wing back. Unfortunately we never played that formation. I bet when they turn up Saturday that he looks more comfortable playing as a left back for them.

Cheltenham are not as relevant as Shrewsbury. Simply put we need to win on Saturday. It is a true 6 pointer. Win and we cut the safety gap to three points to Shrews…lose and it is 9!
That would be that.
Even worse if the other teams on 38 pick up a result on Saturday too.

Didn't play midweek ( Conlon ) and only sub yesterday. Suggesting he's either had yet another knock or lost his place . The two you mentioned are not better than him however League one because of too many injuries was a step too far for him.
Players get knocks all the time and get rested with sat / tues games as squads are rotated. Nothing wrong in any of that.

The first and last goals just highlight our weakness in the wing back / full back position. Both times Shorrocks been done in behind him and both times Plant hasn’t got a clue at the back post where the player is behind him who’s in acres to score.

Found another version that shows his full run at goal
To be fair it’s a great run. Just a shocking last touch before the finish.

Maybe he’s just low on confidence and is clearly out of forum with no way of getting out of the hole he’s in?
Lofts getting a lot of stick for missing that. But we were still 2-0 up then and should have seen it out. Had we won no one would be bringing this miss up. But we didn’t so it must be Lofts fault.

In that situation you roll the ball back under your foot and slip into far corner of net the defender would slide past and I'd be in the hamil celebrating 3-0 Vale game over.
If only football was that easy.

Wilson is injured , we have a 17 year old as back up , you have to play loft as Ben G is needed in midfield
Yep. It’s no good people moaning about loft, the recruitment has saddled us with a squad that is devoid of goals so he has to play.

It’s unreal how much better they are than us
A supposed pub team too as they were referred to on here earlier. They’ve got some decent players and a bit of fight about them.

Never in doubt this. Knew it from as soon as I saw the team.

Dear god. Dipepa. He’s worse than Dan turner who is currently playing national league north/south level. May as well forfeit the game
Harsh. Another kid not given the chance to develop and ended up being saddled with trying to lead the line of a struggling club at 18 years of age. Neither him nor Dipepa should be in that situation.

DM will have seen the young lads in training. It’s no fluke that those young lads are playing in the u18s today, they just aren’t ready yet.

Come on, this is Fleetwood town ffs, they are a pub side they have a pub side ground and they are worse than we are, they only beat us last month because their pitch was like a bog. We can change the hole season with one good win tonight so come on and get behind the lads. COME ON THE VALE.
Let’s hope the team never go into any game with this kind of offhand dismissive opinion of other league one clubs otherwise we deserve to lose.

Even if the company has been sold for 180m, there’s no at she’s getting all that. Do the club owe the family for what they’ve been putting in too, does anyone know?

This last few weeks and months should show her that owners will never be appreciated once things start to go south. She should sell up and enjoy her money and retirement in peace.

That’s the bit I don’t get. They must’ve had a plan in mind for him - target man, supporting striker etc etc. So why not play him that way instead of sticking him up front on his own when he has little pace, agility, heading, ball control.
It’s not like he was a famous aging marquee player signed even though he is probably past his best. Used to get 20 a season and maybe will again.
Has stats show he’s not a goalscorer. Watching him play shows he’s not a goalscorer. Flitcroft brought him in last summer, so what was their plan? Was there a second signing needed to play alongside him that we failed to get or something?
Exactly this and fans are booing him because he isn’t scoring and yet we aren’t playing a system that can suit him. Well we don’t look to be playing any system to be honest.

It doesn’t matter whether you boo Ryan Loft at a game or not, here you are social media creating something that comes across as a hate on Ryan Loft, that will in turn generate more hate as people jump on the bandwagon. You’ve even said hes garbage and we should pay him up or keep him away from the squad. But you’re the one missing point about him if you think he’s a striker who’s going to come in and be a goalscorer, look at his record, he isn’t and never has been. What did our recruitment team look at? But then look at what we create as a team, which is nothing, we haven’t scored or created much across the board. We have no identity in how we want to play to get people in to the box or play off strikers.
The crowd are toxic because of flitcroft and Loft is the one bearing the brunt of it, we have no strikers and he’s the one who’s been brought in by him. I think he’s trying, it’s not for lack of effort IMO but it seems to me a lot of the fans don’t know anything about Loft as a player or his past record and are expecting something that he’s never been.

Hes been here for 177 days. He’s played a third of the season. He’s scored ZERO league goals.
The fans have had enough.
Hes probably had enough.
The constant booing of him isn’t right.
He is garbage.
It’s not healthy for the club or for him for this to carry on.
If he was missing chances week in week out, I’d be all for keeping him. But he isn’t.
He must absolute hate the club and the fans because the fans don’t like him.
He just needs to be sacrificed for the sake of us all and him.
Cant be done with this singling out of players. Must be really easy in your head to say pay him off and get rid or just ostracise him completely from the squad. At times I think our fan base is terrible and this is another instance of it.
I agree he’s been playing poorly. But Ryan Loft isn’t the reason why we are where we are. He isn’t the one that built the squad around him. He isn’t the one that didn’t bring in any wing backs (our supposed creative outlet). He didn’t decide not to buy a strike partner. He didn’t fill the squad full of players with hardly any goals to their career names. He isn’t the one making defensive mistakes.
We don’t create any chances for anyone to get on the end of. Nothing. Not a thing. Ryan Loft isn’t the problem. He’s just the target of boo boys and the scapegoat at an unfortunate time in our history where we are scrutinising all of Flitcrofts signings.
Anyone with a brain can see from his stats that he isn’t a goalscorer by any stretch. He is the foil to a goalscorer. The guy to come on run the channels and cause problems for defenders with his strength and pace. We don’t play him like that. Why is he being heralded as the guy to find the net when throughout his career he’s hardly got any goals? It’s down to the recruitment team, not him.
Look how we utilised Proctor in the promotion season, wingbacks and centre midfielders linking with him to get the ball behind for cut backs. We don’t even have a pattern of play where we play up to a striker and play off him. We don’t go long and turn teams around. I couldn’t even tell you what we’re trying to do or what our style of play is. He isn’t the issue and no one is going to come in and be any better or worse because of the squad we’ve built and the way we play.

He simply wasn’t playing well for us though. Maybe league two is his level? Maybe the manager there (who he knows) gets more out of him? Loads of variables, but like I said I think it’s a no brainer that he went because he wasn’t doing well for us.
