Found another version that shows his full run at goal
To be fair it’s a great run. Just a shocking last touch before the finish.

Maybe he’s just low on confidence and is clearly out of forum with no way of getting out of the hole he’s in?
Lofts getting a lot of stick for missing that. But we were still 2-0 up then and should have seen it out. Had we won no one would be bringing this miss up. But we didn’t so it must be Lofts fault.

In that situation you roll the ball back under your foot and slip into far corner of net the defender would slide past and I'd be in the hamil celebrating 3-0 Vale game over.
If only football was that easy.

Wilson is injured , we have a 17 year old as back up , you have to play loft as Ben G is needed in midfield
Yep. It’s no good people moaning about loft, the recruitment has saddled us with a squad that is devoid of goals so he has to play.

It’s unreal how much better they are than us
A supposed pub team too as they were referred to on here earlier. They’ve got some decent players and a bit of fight about them.

Never in doubt this. Knew it from as soon as I saw the team.

Dear god. Dipepa. He’s worse than Dan turner who is currently playing national league north/south level. May as well forfeit the game
Harsh. Another kid not given the chance to develop and ended up being saddled with trying to lead the line of a struggling club at 18 years of age. Neither him nor Dipepa should be in that situation.

He’s also a professional footballer who gets well paid
What’s money got to do with it? Does that eradicate mistakes?

Listen you like watching Vale lose often you can like who you like fella no problem if you rate crack on .
I've no problem with fans who love his contributions I don't like them more often than not a goal for opposition is come when they generally done nowt deserve one .
Cambridge away gives a pen Carlisle away gives a pen away gives them a leg up I've seen it time and time again and quite frankly I'm sick of seeing it and him .
The ones who like him will be ones left watch us as go further down the footballing league I won't and neither will 90 per cent of the folk I talk too they have seen enough .
Crack on he quite clearly tries but lacks anything I like in a footballer apart from he can head the ball
You’ve waited 6 years for something to come along to justify your hate of smith because beforehand your only justification was that he’s a stoke fan.

DM will have seen the young lads in training. It’s no fluke that those young lads are playing in the u18s today, they just aren’t ready yet.

Come on, this is Fleetwood town ffs, they are a pub side they have a pub side ground and they are worse than we are, they only beat us last month because their pitch was like a bog. We can change the hole season with one good win tonight so come on and get behind the lads. COME ON THE VALE.
Let’s hope the team never go into any game with this kind of offhand dismissive opinion of other league one clubs otherwise we deserve to lose.

Even if the company has been sold for 180m, there’s no at she’s getting all that. Do the club owe the family for what they’ve been putting in too, does anyone know?

The loan lads should be nowhere near it, they haven’t done enough for me. Ripley or Garrity IMO.

This last few weeks and months should show her that owners will never be appreciated once things start to go south. She should sell up and enjoy her money and retirement in peace.

It's all our fault. We need to have more realistic expectations. We should be losing to Burton, Fleetwood, Cheltenham. We should be in League 2. We should clap and cheer players that don't give an ounce of effort. It's all our fault.
He isn’t saying it’s the fans fault though is he. Hes saying we don’t get behind players and boo them at the first opportunity. Which is true. Even when things are going well we love a good moan

I thought Jones was abysmal but it wasn’t a pen. Jones didn’t make contact with their players feet at any time and it was their player leaning into Jones. it didn’t make any difference to the result as we wouldn’t have scored if we were still playing now.
As for Smith, I don’t know what has happened to him - he looks non-league at the minute. He pulled his shirt or shorts. It’s a blatant foul.

I think he was trying to pass to Debra but took it so quickly, he didn't realise that their player was so in line.
He has been criticised for playing the ball to slow and today, he was to reckless.
A really poor error that cost us bid time.
That’s all I think it was too. He probably had it in his mind what he wanted to do and rushed it. It’s a shocker, no doubt about it.

If Smith was asked to explain what he was attempting to do,what do you think he would say? Pass to the other Vale player when there's a Lincoln player there to stop him doing that? So why do it? Was he trying to hit the ball against their player to bring the ref's attention to him not being away from the ball?
I'm sorry but either of those is negligent - moreso in an absolutely crucial game.
Disagree. I think he was trying to pass it to Debra and made a mess of it.

No he isn’t. They wouldn’t take him seriously either. It’s the managers job.

I think saying it "happened" is too lenient. I could go and watch Sunday morning football in my local park and wouldn't see such a shockingly unprofessional action as that from Smith.
A day on from the game and l still can't see what he was thinking. His negligence punctured the atmosphere and meant we'd have to come from behind to win yet again. I don't recall us doing that all season.
It’s a shocking mistake. Unprofessional? Negligent? I don’t think so, it’s a game of football where the unpredictable can happen. An horrendous mistake in a poor season for him.

That’s the bit I don’t get. They must’ve had a plan in mind for him - target man, supporting striker etc etc. So why not play him that way instead of sticking him up front on his own when he has little pace, agility, heading, ball control.
It’s not like he was a famous aging marquee player signed even though he is probably past his best. Used to get 20 a season and maybe will again.
Has stats show he’s not a goalscorer. Watching him play shows he’s not a goalscorer. Flitcroft brought him in last summer, so what was their plan? Was there a second signing needed to play alongside him that we failed to get or something?
Exactly this and fans are booing him because he isn’t scoring and yet we aren’t playing a system that can suit him. Well we don’t look to be playing any system to be honest.
