This hotel notion would never work. I stay in hotels all the time on business all over the country so who woukd stay in this hotel? Businessmen during the week? (Hardly any big businesses in the area) and the ones that do visit SOT on business will go to the 2 Hanley hotels. The weekend market? Weekenders visiting Burslem like Edinburgh or York? Doubt it. The Asylum seekers market might work, but the George hotel has that market wrapped up. A hotel in Burslem wouldn’t work in my opinion

Just wondered if anyone had seen or heard of Tall Paul recently? . Paul was a regular at Vale and hails from Hounslow in London and converted to Vale from Brentford years ago. He used to get the train from London most matches as he worked on the trains. Top bloke, but not seen him in ages

He’s nearly 80 and has no interest in being DOF and I don’t blame him. It’s not going to happen . Why do I know this? It’s because I work for the same organisation as his son and law and we had this conversation in 2019. It’s not going to happen.
