  1. Loft should have scored, asking for a Beckford diving header.
  2. Playing a bit better but lacking any threat up front bar Mighten and a bit panicky at times in defence. Hoping we get a win if not to give the team some confidence, it does seem to be lacking.
  3. Is Lopata injured? He was my MOM in the last match.
  4. See what you are saying, but do you see Debrah or Smith doing all that?
  5. Definitely agree with Garrity and although Walters isn’t proven yet, Lowe has proven to be poor in midfield
  6. That’s what I was saying, push Chislett further up replacing Wilson.
  7. Walters has shown a lot more than Lowe in midfield, I think Mighten would do better than Loft up front and punch Chislett further up where Wilson plays as he is consistently our biggest goal threat.
  8. We will wait and see but Huddersfield are crap anyway son despite who they have as manager they will be playing division 1 football either next season or the season after.
  9. Loft would not be on the pitch, although I thought Massey played ok, I’d rather Sang start. Start with Mighten up front with Chislett behind him. Lowe has been crap all season in midfield so I’d have played either Weir or Walters in that position.
  10. I think DM went as instructed yesterday unfortunately, well, I hope so. Yesterday along with Fleetwood were must win games, and we walk away with zero points, because of these results I think we will go down. I reserve judgement on Moore, if he keeps us up then he has done a very good job but personally I would have rather Crosby stay to the end of the season but given a decent striker to get the job done, I don’t think Moore will keep us up with the strike force we have.
  11. Plenty of time to organise. Tactics and team selection were crap yesterday, if he’s as good as so many rave on here he will see where we were wrong yesterday and rectify it. Whether we are good enough is another matter.
  12. Replacing Devine and Arblaster with 2 loan signings as good is nearly impossible. So why let Conlon go in January, so far what I have seen of Weir he is not as good a player as Conlon. Keep Conlon until the end of season then release if need be. One less for DF to cock up, let him concentrate more on bringing a loan striker instead of 2 midfielders.
  13. Correct, remember that game as well, 1-1, if I remember right but would have still gone down had we won. No chance of getting in the Hamil after the game, despite plenty trying to.
  14. Remember getting relegated at Cambridge back in the past. It was carnage, Vale fans kicking off everywhere. They painted the fencing, ruined a brand new pair of jeans , could not get the paint off.
  15. Staying up could be classed as a miracle. No doubt he has improved performances and results but too early to say he he has performed a miracle, let’s see if he keeps them up.
  16. Yep, but when his contacts dried up our performances slipped. He’s done the same again at Cheltenham, signing Pett and Taylor, results picked up when he first went there but it is most likely they will still go down.
  17. A lot of the youngsters have been at the club longer than Flitcroft. He’s just selling them off.
  18. TBF, most attackive players who have played 20 games or more this season have scored more than the 2 Loft and Uche have scored between them.
  19. He’s not as bad as you make out, he’s done a good job at most the clubs he’s been at on division 2, however he’s not as good as a lot make out, he has always struggled in division 1 but like Crosby, he had a very poor transfer window when we were doing very well for the first 4 months after promotion, don’t think you can blame Clarke for that.
  20. I didn’t think Flitcroft was involved in the off field stuff, I thought he was responsible for the playing side. Clarke was decent and the right choice but he’s had more backing than any ,manager I can record in 35 years of watching the Vale, and I don’t think Crosby is as bad as a lot make out, maybe he shouldn’t have got the job but I think with better signings he would have easily kept us up as well as getting us further than ever in the League cup. Port Vale have been going backwards since December 22 on the pitch, why? I don’t think it is our owners, some may blame Crosby, myself I blame whoever is responsible for the players we are bringing in. We survived by a few points last season, and nearly all the season was under Clarke, our squad is now worse so what do people expect. If Flitcroft is in charge of the playing side he should be in charge on what players we bring in and controlling the budget, he has failed miserably and will most likely continue to fail with whichever manager we have.
  21. Good job Flitcroft has gone full time, we may not have made any new signings
  22. Really? You are telling me that some said we would go down last January?
