    Loft £3k a week

    Uche £3k a week

Wilson - no idea what he's in but guessing something similar.

Split all that up into 2 strikers and then use the loan market.

He's had the budget but totally wasted it

Not true if only allowed 3k max wage

The same person told u Robbie was buying vale 2 months ago

No he didn’t he told me there would be a big announcement in jan. I guessed it might be Robbie. Big difference. Either way it was front page of the sun so maybe there was something in it or not but I clearly didn’t make it up…

We had a very decent bid for a player accepted.  Money is not the factor for failure this January.

It really was. We might pay a transfer fee but we will not pay the required wage for a striker in league one.

  4. I can't wait for the next DoF to come in and be told to find a league one striker that that scores goals for less than £3k a week. Flitcroft has had his hands tied by Carol. The buck stops at her. It is no surprise that she has come out and defended him because she knows that if he was to go then she is the next target. For as long as I have supported Vale a certain section of the fan base have to have a scapegoat or a target for vitriol (sometimes with good reason, others not (Constantine for one)). Nothing I post on here is going to stop the direction of this movement (for want of a better word) but if/when he goes I am not sure there would be another DoF in football that could find a good striker for what we are willing to spend.  Carol needs to spend some money in the right place and we can't be competitive in the market with her budget. We have a bottom 4 budget (from someone close to the club accounting team) and guess where that puts you, DF or no DF.

Grant what's up with him he surely should be a good player in this league yet we play him as a defender he was atrocious last night  ,and one of the two reasons we lost last night well 3 if you count Lofts easy chance I'd have buried and I'm.a overweight 52 year who hasn't played for years

No,shows that he's his own man, flitcroft will never admit a mistake so he's giving DM his head...of course,if it doesn't work then it's not the DOFs fault...yet again.

So Flitcroft is to blame for AC not changing the formation but then he is also not to be credited with DM appointment because DM is his own man and will change the formation, despite DF not allowing it before?

Some mental cartwheels going on there

    Anyway

    Come on Vale

Have very much heard otherwise , also that Dunn turned the job down because he was told he would have to play by flitcrofts formation....all hearsay I admit but don't think I trust anything that comes out of the dof 's mouth at all.

Funny how DM is picking his own then

The fact that DM has called a back four tells me that he's making his own calls... hope it works but all credit for being brave enough to make that change...make it work big fella 👍

I don't think Crosby wasn't ever picking his own formation despite what the group think had declared the truth on here.

Not the “system” as in the formation, but the preferred style of play, as in possession based.  I think this was stated at one of the forums, and maybe more, along with being mentioned other interviews.  The idea being that the young kids are playing the same way as the first team so that there’s continuity right through all the age groups.  In addition, we can sell it to it the Prem and Champ clubs when we’re touting for loans.

How is that being spun as a negative?

I have never, ever said that WV. You've got me mistaken, I'm afraid!

Sorry mustn’t have been you. The general consensus on here seemed to be that the system was down to DF and any new manager would have to play that system. DM looking likely to prove that to be the conjecture it is. (<ovf censored>)

I have listened to the podcast but to be honest I didn't need too. It's the same script we've heard at every fans forum:

    "big picture"
    "campus"
"really enthused by the project at the club"
"went after half a million really top level players, but for some unknown reason they don't want to play for a team 4th bottom of the league with a pe teacher in charge"
"it's a process of getting better, despite us getting worse yes on year"

The personal abuse is poor, especially the twitter stuff. If they are coming on ovf then like hobblesworth says they need looking at.

Not sure you understand what quotation marks are for.
worse year on year? Which years were they?

I do think the whole “President Robbie” idea was timed incredibly stupidly. It distracted from the final week of the window and created doubt not just in fans minds but also that of potential buys. You can imagine agents negotiating deals seeing The S*n front page saying, what’s this about a takeover? Even if denied it makes them think there may be more money around.

It should have been done at the end of the season. I hear from the club it was the only time he had. Well if it meant that much to him, he’d work around the club.

It also creates tension with fans, who see a multi, multi millionaire getting plaudits, knowing the club needs a bit of financial help, but does bugger all.

Tbf Tj you are literally the only fan I have seen with issues about RW who has done more for the club than you ever will.

Relegation will be on him. Crosby has been shafted. Didn't want Crosby but accepted the decision. Not a fan.

But if he keeps this lot up with the little tools at his disposal he will go way up in my estimation.

Relegation will be on Carol, and DF.

Just tried a little bit of sriracha with my cheese ones. Definitely one to add to the repertoire. Held off the bacon this time.

I’m not sure about the gentrification of oatcakes that I am seeing on here. Bacon cheese brown sauce. Occasionally sausage.

Just spoken to my m8 who's given me the details I've shared in the past.

He tells me that Williams is definitely not injured and was sent back because of his personal conduct. But Vale won't deviate from the line that he's injured as it's more important to us to keep the new relationship with Liverpool sweet.

Apparently Liverpool are very apologetic and thankful we've kept a lid on it. Might get more out of them in the future. ..??

Just what I was told earlier as well.
