Everything got a little carried away. Things was said in the heat and joy.

One running the business, and one holding the money. Made some wage lines between long term and short term plans.

 

Well to get down to earth. 30% increase in wage budget is good. If this is done every year the next 3-4 years. We have a squad competitive for promotion in a few seasons.

The new squad with promising youngsters comes outside the wage budget, and with some luck they will make some impact already next season. They cost the club least 2-3 players with championship experience.

 

With no debt and the backing of an owner with money. The possibility of Smurf backing Adams with the right player for the right time, on loan or permanent is there.

And i guess, but it's only speculations. What comes in transfer fee, goes straight to Adams and the team.

 

All this makes a club going forward with nice steady pace.

We are increasing the budget, but the likes of Wolwes and Blades are decreasing, if that continue, we pass them somewhere on the way :laugh:

Things should be as bright as the op suggests if we can sort out our defensive frailties and sign a descent midfield general we will be ok.

The point is Micky should be re assuring us about his abilities to unearth hidden gems at low cost and talk about how he will make his team fitter than other squads and e spire and motivate his squad to over achieve.

He said none of this it was like I often say to my boss I will do my best with what is at my disposal.
