Saturday's Prematch March

Will there be a book to sign , where we can express our deepest sadness and get our feelings down in words at this emotional time.

That would be interesting.

How about starting a thread up on here like a condolence book?

First time poster here.

I'd just like to add a few thoughts as someone who's been watching events unfold from afar.

Having attended my first match in the early '80s I've seen good times and bad, but can honestly say that over the last 30 years the current state of affairs represents the absolute nadir for the club.

I'm very much anti-board, pro M&M. The disinformation emanating from V2001 and the lack of a formal, or even informal, response to the bid(s) is frankly disgraceful. How anyone can still support this board beggars belief. The fact that Mr Sims is a lifelong fan who has given substantial financial support to the club makes the board's behaviour all the more galling - and bewildering.

However, as someone on the outside looking in, it seems that the local media is shockingly biased in favour of the board. Anyone without access to the internet, and/or unaware of OVF, would struggle to know what's really going on and have a truly informed opinion. The Sentinel in particular seems to be in the board's pocket - presumably for financial reasons? RS seems to be more balanced, possibly due to Mick Cullerton's take on the issues.

The point I wanted to make is that in these media savvy times it's all about getting your message across to the widest possible audience on as many different platforms as possible - and it seems that, surprisingly, M&M have been particularly slow and ineffective in doing so. It's incredibly frustrating, as I'm sure that if most fans were actually in possession of all the facts the board would have even less support than it currently does and the pressure on them to move aside would surely be too great to resist.

Anyway, I'd like to wish everyone involved with the campaign and the march tomorrow all the best - I can't be there in person, but I'll most definitely be there in spirit. Hopefully I can make it over next season - fingers crossed with a new board in place and a brighter future.

Let's get the buggers out!

Need to get themselves seen and heard.

A good point perhaps if they want an interview there will be a few of the above interviewed together. Strength in numbers and all that.

Anti-board protests, which will include a pre-match supporters' march to Vale Park, have also been planned to mark the Valiants' home finale.

The Black and Gold Until It's Sold campaign will also hold a 'separate' post-match demonstration to protest against the board's handling of club affairs. QUOTE the Sentinel.

First i have heard about this.......So the Supporters Groups are holding SEPERATE protests. This is a bit strange. I thought the March/Protests was ALL Vale fans.
