Alex OVF photographer refused entry to news conf

I love these posts. Someone comes on having a rant expecting the whole of ovf to back u up only for everyone to totally disagree with you and make you look a bit silly. I have a camera on my phone does that mean i should be allowed in there. And do we really need someone to go in and take a couple of dozen photos of 3 blokes sat behind a table. Pics will be in the sentinel and on vale website and most probably radio stoke website so its not like we are not going to be able to see them at some point if we want to

You are a nosy fan though. You're down there nearly everyday trying to see what's happening. OVF is a fans forum, why should you or OVF be allowed in? We are just fans now, not shareholders. Paul and Norman own Vale and can do what ever they want.

 

If you want to know anything then you'll have to wait for an official or SC update, just like everyone else. You can't just walk into a press conference because your an 'OVF photographer'.

Can I just post on this with my OVF hat on.

 

I buy photos off Alex for OVF, but technically Alex is NOT either a part of nor representing OVF.

 

He is a supplier to this website.

 

This website is owned by a group of fans.

 

OVF did NOT request access to the press conference. We have had dialogues with the club about previous press conferences and respect their decision to restrict access to accredited press journalists and to Port Vale Supporters Club committee members.

 

So, much as I like Alex's work (I use his photos after all) this was a request by Alex, as an individual and nothing to do with OVF, the website. I knew nothing about it until I read this thread.

 

I actually think the club is right to restrict the press conference to accredited journalists.

The supporters club is an offically recognised body. OVF is a forum for folks with not enough to do to create speculation and rumour. Simple.

 

Hang about, since when has OVF only been what you claim. As a collective group OVF has contributed financially and positively to all things Port Vale since 2006.

 

As for Alex being an official OVF photographer? Well, you'd best ask Rob about that.
