Of course there is! From Manchester City retiring the number 23 (I think) shirt after Marc Vivien Foe's death to Spurs fans applauding Ledley King on the 26th minute yesterday, football is riddled with examples of misty eyed fans wallowing in sentiment (#pray4muamba!?).

 

I'm not expecting Vale fans to wear rose tinted spectacles when discussing Lewis' career but the frequent cries of 'get rid' or the criticisms of a man battling to save his career are galling to say the least.

I think I get it now. When people put "end of" at the end of a sentence/statement, it means that although they have a differing opinion to other people, theirs is the only opinion that really counts and anybody else's is not worth listening to.

 

As in

I was hitting my head against a brick wall with you several posts ago hence the on my last post!!!....

 

It's taken you a while but it seems you've finally caught up with my hint and you've realised that I'm bored with your insane, monotonous and predictable rant concerning your obsession with Dickinson, a player who is recovering from injury and has being quoted on here as unlikely to sign for us.

 

Meanwhile, I'll continue to support the players we have, whilst you continue your fixation with an injured player destined to join another club:yes:
