In my earlier career I spent a lot of time at the - Reebok in those days - for meetings and conferences. I have only ever been there for one Port Vale game and we got thrashed.

Walked over to the adjoining retail centre and went into a sports bar. Wasn't wearing any Vale replica top or colours but the security staff sussed that we weren't locals and asked us to leave. So we went into the Hollywood Bowl which had a bar and which did serve us. But it was horrible in there from the point of view of wanting a quiet drink and snack before going to the game. So my advice would be to find somewhere away from the ground for refreshments. Leaving the ground after the game wasn't bad. When I saw the number of cars in the car park I feared the worst but they had a well organised system of parking stewards on duty who directed traffic off the car park and we got away within 10 minutes. 

Oxford is a traffic and public transport nightmare. It's a traffic jam in and out of Oxford from the railway station to the outskirts. A catastrophe. Waste of time getting on a bus - walked to the ground. Not going this year - not the only reason, but it's an unviable city.
