Burst onto the scene in 1987 with " Fight for your rights " and released a superb Lp/tape( remember those )?

 

They were quite controversial what with nicking badges off cars and were even ( or powers that be tried ) banned from the UK?

 

How times change as it wouldnt even hit the radar now

Ahem, they were pioneers of the NYC punk HC movement from 1979 along with Regan Youth, Bad Brains etc. Really did the whole cross genre things; Punk - HC - hip hop - rock - even a bit of jazz.

I didn't get into them until Sabotage which i think is a great track and then i caught up with their previous stuff.

 

Loved the crossover, loved the humour, loved the Kerry King riff on 'Fight...', loved the wackiness but there was some good stuff in there too.

 

Shame when someone so young passes away
